Dominic West calls for new Bond to be transgender

By Sophie Barnes
23 December 2018 • 12:29pm

Dominic West has called for the next James Bond to be transgender.

The 49-year-old actor said Daniel Craig’s replacement in the classic spy role should be Hannah Graf, the highest-ranking transgender soldier in the army.

“There’s a very cool woman who’s the wife of an actor in [West’s recent film] Colette, who is a captain in the electrical engineers, the highest-ranking transgender soldier in the army.

"She’s done two tours of Afghanistan. She’s a beautiful blonde girl who could be Bond, yes. That’s actually a brilliant idea,” he said in an interview with The Sunday Times magazine.

“They should have a transgender Bond because there are a lot of transgender people in the army,” he added. “They’d be ideal because they can do everything. That’s a great idea! A transgender Bond.”

Ms Graf is a British Army officer who serves with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

I keep coming back to the fact that the population voted to leave the EU but the government don't wish to. The government are there to represent the people, not themselves. This is undermining democracy in this country.
No deal is better than a poor deal she said.

Has anyone else noticed a shift in emphasis since the Brexit vote in the following:
For years business leaders moaned continuously about the read tape and bureaucracy that they had to put up with as a result of being in the EU. Now that we are leaving they aren't mentioned, but they moan about the disruption of leaving instead.
The BBC and others were never slow to criticise the 'excessive' remuneration packages of 'greedy' business leaders, share options, payoffs for failure etc., yet now they hang on every word of 'virtuous' business leaders who don't want us to leave the EU as part of the project fear propaganda.
Remember the liberal left moaning that manufacturing industry was dead and had declined to such an extent we are now mainly a services based economy. Now we have Brexit suddenly we are a manufacturing nation again facing increased costs for imported raw materials. They are less quick to mention that with raw materials already in stock our manufactured exports will be more competitive with a cheaper pound and by the time cost increases feed through, we'll have our foot in the door with new customers.
The Brexit vote wasn't about keeping business happy, as business will adapt to changing circumstances to survive. It was about remaining in or leaving the EU.

A wonderful letter. Bit long but worth a read.

A plea to the PM from a Leave-supporting businessperson: Stop the scare stories and embrace a Sovereign Brexit

You, however, Prime Minister, have a glorious chance to escape their fate, by doing one thing: you can still, now, and energised by Juncker’s utterly disrespectful behaviour to you in this past week, turn around to the European Union and say, finally:

“Fine. I understand you don’t want to do a deal. We’re now going to go full bore for a Sovereign-terms Brexit. Let’s sort out some administrative things like us allowing you to fly your planes over the UK, but other than that, let’s see each other in Geneva at the WTO. Do come back to us if you want to discuss some kind of Canada-plus deal, but otherwise, let’s all spend our time constructively in the next three months preparing for Britain’s Sovereign Exit from the EU.”

Just being sensible.

How many lunches does it take. How many rivers of wine does it take. How much fondling of hair by creeps such as Juncker does it take.

From the ST. If this is true, it's back to BRINO.

Theresa May’s allies are plotting to keep her in Downing Street for at least another two years amid growing confidence that she will get her Brexit deal through parliament.

Her supporters in cabinet have been buoyed by what they believe to be a substantial shift in political arithmetic in the Commons. This follows secret talks between May’s chief Brexit negotiator Ollie Robbins and his European counterparts last week.

Plans being floated by a prominent cabinet minister would see May hang on to power until the autumn of 2021 when she would hand over the keys of No 10 to a new Conservative leader.

The new prime minister would then have about nine months to prepare their team before the next general election, due in May…
