20/12/2018 23:19 | SOURCE BBC WEBSITE , JUST FOR YOU THICKIE,No expense spared The new building - designed to take account of the EU's expected admission of new Eastern European members - cost around $400m to build. The steel and glass central tower is cradled by a lower building like a wedge of melon - the whole complex contains 1,133 offices. It was designed by Architecture Studio Europe, a Paris-based company. But the lavishness of the building in Strasbourg, with cost overruns caused by costly construction blunders, has not improved the EU's reputation for profligacy. | ![]() escapetohome
20/12/2018 23:18 | Experts on drones are saying this is a modified craft, probably it's been built from scratch, plus there are drones who can fly as far up to 4 miles ect. | k38
20/12/2018 23:11 | Bonedyou Ooooh eerrrrr! LOL | minerve
20/12/2018 23:09 | The EU are a very wasteful organisation , they pay themselves huge salaries and lavish huge huge sums of money on things like headquarters. Rather than solve inequality they create more inequality. Hugely indebted countries, flows of people who are not adequately catered for in their host country, with poor housing, and inadequate facilities, and robbing their home country of the talent they need to economically expand. I would like to feel more European and support the project, but it is a huge failure because people cannot identify with it, not just because of the above but for many other reasons. | ![]() escapetohome
20/12/2018 23:08 | "HATED EU" Can you just mention that again Stoned just in case I don't remember! ROFLMAO! You need a short cut key that just types "HATED EU". There must be no ink left on those keys. ROFLMAO! | minerve
20/12/2018 23:08 | Tygarret (I agree with you) tell that to Careful. | k38
20/12/2018 22:58 | The "HATED EU" won`t agree on any vote against them....They are a mafia nothing more nothing less.....They have disregarded Greece, Holland, Eire...referendums There will be NO second vote Camerooooon said "There won`t be any second vote" Do you think he said that because he thought it would be democratic to do so... after the referendum vote.....NO he didn`t | ![]() stonedyou
20/12/2018 22:54 | £25m per day would make a big difference to local authorities up here! When you say we get a lot out of EU. It's not as much as EU get out of the UK market. Just look at our trade deficit with EU. They should be paying us to be their best customer!!!!! Most best customers get discounts not extra charges! | ![]() tygarreg
20/12/2018 22:53 | Careful ...I do not understand why Brexiteers do not look forward to defeating those whinging remainers for once and for all. Always remember, 'it is the economy stupid'..We already 'defeat' them careful in a democratic way.For Brussels ordinary people are just numbers. Sure you do not understand anything about democracy and slavery. | k38
20/12/2018 22:52 | You are right about remainers not having leadership or charisma. George Osborne has admitted that the remain campaign was terrible last time. The truth is that the EU. has been wonderful for the uk economy. GDP has grown impressively, and the government is rich enough to spend over £800m per year. I hope the campaign is positive for remain next time. Project scare was stupid, because will take years to prove it right. Already people who voted leave are very worried about losing their jobs. There are an estimated 5000 Jaguar Land Rover workers being sacked in the new year. The housing market is rolling over, and the German economy is stalling badly. There are other factors at work, but Brexit is upsetting the whole international trading and finance system. | ![]() careful
20/12/2018 22:51 | Hello Minerve, just wondering where you'd got to. Off to bed now, night night sweetie pie. | ![]() cheshire pete
20/12/2018 22:48 | Second referendum. Let's all vote Remain. Big two fingers up to the morons. Carry on with our lives. Let the morons run riot in their slippers. Have some entertainment watching their false teeth get blown out by the water cannons! LOL | minerve
20/12/2018 22:38 | Brexit will happen stonedyou, maybe not while May and the Tories are at the helm though. Think it may need a Brexit party led by Farage to channel the support of the 17.4 million. Can't see an opposing remoaners party somehow...who would lead it ...Amber Rudd or Anna Soubry or Ken Clarke - no-one with any charisma 'cos they're all losers. | ![]() cheshire pete
20/12/2018 22:37 | I think there is a good chance that the press propaganda will give Brexiteers a good chance of a second victory. Can you imagine Boris talking about surrender, humiliation and slavery. He will really whip them up this next time. Farage will have a field day. I do not understand why Brexiteers do not look forward to defeating those whinging remainers for once and for all. A chance to prove that the first vote wasn't a fluke. Now that we know more about it, could it be that they fear a heavy defeat? If they lose there will not be riots because there will not be enough of them left. Always remember, 'it is the economy stupid'. | ![]() careful
20/12/2018 22:34 | Merkel force the Greek government to change the results of their referendum or ignore them altogether..which they did.Now they try to do thesame to UK. Sad times for democracy. | k38
20/12/2018 22:28 | It is the will of the people who dictate MPs not the MPs dictating the people.....Trouble with the English they have been letting the parliamentarians get away with laws that bear no relation to ordinary peoples daily lives for far to long..... | ![]() stonedyou
20/12/2018 22:22 | The remain MPs will have to vote as the people want them to or civil war will have to commence! | ![]() stonedyou
20/12/2018 22:19 | 9 billion is always cheap to remainers when they want a 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th vote.....It magnifies as the different referendums they call for justifies their rhetorical.....sewag | ![]() stonedyou
20/12/2018 22:17 | So she calls for a second referendum but has she thought through what they'd do if the result is the same and we voted to leave again? They still wouldn't accept the 'wrong' answer because it wouldn't be what their beloved EU wants to hear any more than the first time. Problem is those MPs who have been doing their utmost to thwart Brexit and that's not going to change no matter how many referenda they have. | ![]() cheshire pete
20/12/2018 22:03 | 9 billions peanuts.. lolWhat's the point of a.. secret plan B. If she goes for a second referendum (secret plan?? lol) That's not a plan, is because she has no choice.Poor choice ! | k38
20/12/2018 21:49 | Trump supporters angry at his 'retreat' on border wall (Ooh diddums!) | gotnorolex
20/12/2018 21:42 | £9bn per year is peanuts, HMG spend £800bn. p.a. And there are benefits from the £9bn. May is not that stupid, she will have a plan B. my guess is a second referendum but in a game of bluff she cannot admit that yet. If her deal goes down, things get interesting. | ![]() careful
