Yes, Blacksmith - absent from it!

If there were something I felt particularly strongly about I might join a protest in Hyde Park or somewhere like that where it would cause no inconvenience. But I am not arrogant and self-centered enough to think that my concerns trump the right of other people to go about their business and earn a living.

The Chinese know how to deal with protestors. Drive tanks over them.

MB,
nicely expressed and it is all about the difference between us and the brextremists , ie we see the big picture and are not selfish .

No, not really. Not in this instance. We are arguing of the future of the planet so they can shut down the whole country as far as I am concerned. If they come around here I'll go and join them and you old farts can protest as much as you like.

It's not actually the er lot stopping the traffic. It was a policeman who went to the centre of the slip road and instructed drivers to stop to allow er to safely get in position and glue themselves to the tarmac or whatever. And then the police in constant attendance to ensure the stricken public didn't say any naughty words to er on fear of prosecution. The situation is easy to resolve. Ensure the police are otherwise occupied with speed traps or whistling builders when er strike. The public are quite able to sort the situation out themselves.

"I expect almost everyone here respects the rights of anyone to legally protest about anything. But the mature here would equally expect any illegal protests to be jumped on and stamped out quickly by the authorities, and instructed to make their protests legal."

"Can anybody explain to me why the police dont remove, fine and jail repeat offending Insulate Britain idiots? I dont get it. They are obstructing highways and preventing people going about their lawful business"

Have you seen the Police monitoring those protesters - led by a woman who asks them if there is anything they need!!!!

Contrast that to the aggression shown to Granny, feeding the ducks in a park.

I'm surprised no one has run those protesters over yet. Job done. They'll disperse.
Game over. These cucks are moddy coddling Extinction Rebellion far too much to the detriment of law abiding citizens trying to earn a living.

I get the impression that Lloyds is pushing its way back up to the 50p level. It has been very quick to recover from recent falls
