China and India are big polluters.
And they are still building coal fired power stations.

But the real issue is how pollution should be fairly measured.

Because of their 1.2 billion populations, they argue that pollution per capita (person) is a tiny fraction of that of the advanced wealthy Western countries.

India per person, consumes about 10% of Americas energy per person.

It is the West, with our multi car families, central heating, hot running water, and generally our insatiable consumption of energy, that needs to drastically cut back.

Try to tell a citizen of Florida that they cannot use energy consuming air conditioning in the hot summer.
No chance at all.

scruff, a lot of committed conservatives are thinking of voting Labour. If you're going to get socialism anyway, why not vote for the real thing?

Boris did amazing work in getting us out of the EU and in purging the Party of many of its worst criminals, but the goodwill he gets from that is not infinite.

I notice he seems to think that paying tax is immoral ! Putting income tax up is a much fairer way than increases in VAT which punishes the poor , providing the extra revenue is used wisely and not frittered away .

even the right wing Tories Scruff1 voted for are not right wing enough for him - the mind boggles and what a horrific society it would be with Scruff1 and his mates in charge .

Cant disagree. But it wont be happening again without a SIGNIFICANT change back to conservatism.

The castle built on sand falls in on itself and they still get involved in feeble attempts to blame others. Very sad. These are boys not men. The sort you would never want to be in a trench with.

Sorry this is Tory incompetence. The Tory party voted Boris in as leader. The Tories have been in power for over a decade. This is YOUR party scruff. Swallow it like a man - if you can!

MB,
yes , so much talk about the great trade deal with USA from Tory brexiteers and probably the stupid Brexiters on this thread . Now clutching at straws and trying to join an existing trade pact ( smile ) . They still will not admit how misguided they were and influenced by slogans in rags ,
