Some people might find this of interest. George Gammon sheds some light on what perhaps the Kabul debacle was really about, and also about 17 mins in explains Modern Monetary Theory. MMT essentially is about governments spending money into creation and thus side stepping the issuing of bonds along with their liabilities. The theory is that taxation withdraws enough of the free money from circulation to avoid inflation! It seems to me MMT is the ideas of children. GG see's all this as being the work of the IMF who want to dictate everything. It would seem we are on the very cusp of interesting times.

SR ,
you are right as does not take much intelligence to know that you should not believe
all you read in papers and especially mail etc .
US indices still falling I see and FTSE futures at 6849 at the moment . Mining stocks in OZ might get pounded on tuesday and BHP and RIO will probably be hit again in UK tomorrow .

I promise you they will be one investment tip someone will thank me for - at last.
They are not expensive - they were about £20 a few year back. You could even get them on the Aldi website. They dont use electricity its like bi metallic strips or summat - they just start whizzing when they get hot (psycho may explain the science). Thay just sit on the back of your stove top unseen. But boy they circulate the heat. If you are not happy with one I will eat my Lloy shares !! You will certainly know when its there and when it isnt

neither I nor the dinosaurs deny climate change. Neither do I deny the last ice age started about 1m years ago and finished about 10,000 yrs ago. I dont deny that the reason the ice melted was probably a lot to do with it getting warmer and the reason it formed in the first place was something to do with the climate getting colder. Unlike you though Im not totally convinced the glaciers melted because a few thousand neanderthals rubbed a couple sticks together once a month. Granted theres a lot more neanderthals nowadays (about a quarter of em called Wing Lee Yip or whatever) but its not proven. And even so if we dont get more CO2 from somewhere my dog is not going to get her chicken dinners and I wont get my Christmas turkey so I dont underestimate the seriousness of the situation. Dont forget Fatso has let the gas meter run out so it nowt to do wi us anyway

They proved their lack of intelligence in 2016

All they do now is compound the evidence yearly, 200%
