Arja,

Have you had your Covid vaccine jab yet?

Noticed you fail to answer that question.

Wonder why!

"So I stand by my 0-60 years old recovery rate globally of 99.6%"

Looks like you reckon that 99.6% stat is game set and match..... Covid posing almost no risk to the under 60's

Nope. Not what I am saying. Minimal risk of fatality, yes. As even the US Statistics show. But there is a risk to most people yes. But it isn't anywhere near as bad as uit is being protrayed to scare everyone into getting vaccinated.

What of those who have had Covid, recovered. Why do they need to vaccinate when their immune system has obviously done the job??? How mny cases are there of people getting over Covid, the original, and then catching the kent version, or the South African one?

Theoretically you could just let it spread out of control , no worries.
There are a few buts though

As I have said from the off - isolate the elderly/sick/vulnerable, vaccinate them, let everyone else go on as normal. As they did in Florida!

Its 99.6% globally because of the response, i.e. healthcare for the most part has been allowed to respond , been able to meet demand.

It's 99.6% because of a combination of NPI's, inate Immune responses by the young and healthy, and vaccinaes for the elderly /vulnerable.

"However where that supply has been overwhelmed , say lack of oxygen , more have died.If the health service is overwhelmed by thousands more who will survive , others will die , of something else , as there are no beds in which to treat them.
Have you heard any testimony from nurses working in covid wards unable to cope last year?

Yes I agree with all of your comment above. The "flatten the curve" approach.
I have seen testimonies, I've also seen plenty of twerking and wasting scarce PPE equipment as well!
Your point?

A perhaps final point , lets throw that stat back at you... 99.6% survive , Derek Draper has survived , given his health now do you think that is acceptable for everyone? But 0.4% didn't , extrapolate even that 0.4% without the worse outcome for overload....

This is life. People come and go from a mixture of old age, sickness, accidents.

and say there are 40million under 60's in the UK (a guess) ... that would mean
160,000 extra deaths.... more than we have had so far.

Regretable but how many extra deaths have we had from mental illness, suicide, economic depression and what dangers are we storing up by locking down the fit and healthy????

The economy has imploded, millions have lost their jobs, their livelihoods. And the nation ahs become even more indebted.Who is going to pay?

This complete lockdown(whilst borders are porous from hot zones) makes no sense.
New variants come and go - thankfully the mortality rates are no higher, as far as they know, to date than the original.

Devolution splits the countryMAY 26, 2021 2 COMMENTSGordon Brown's idea that offering devolution to Scotland would cement the Union and satisfy the demands of the separatists always seemed to me to be misconceived. That was why I wrote "The Death of Britain?" and watched more in sorrow than anger as Labour's reforms gave a great platform to the SNP and duly led to the need for a referendum to settle the issue by asking the Scottish voters.Today the PM is right to say there is no need for a second referendum so soon after the first delivered a clear result, especially given SNP pledges that the referendum would be a once in a generation event. Had the SNP won I doubt they would now be giving Scottish people a second vote to reconsider their decision to leave. The SNP lost the referendum in part because they had not thought through some of the most basic points about leaving the U.K. They seemed to think they could stay in the pound common currency supported by the Bank of England. There is no way the Bank of England could continue to take Scottish needs into account or act as lender of last resort to Scottish banks. They did not set out well how Scottish members of our armed forces would adjust. If the aim is to transfer their contracts to a Scottish army, navy and airforce there would need to be arrangements over equipment and it would make only a small force. If we assume the idea is that we would honour their contracts, that would mean they would have to commit their loyalty and service to a country other than their own. They would also be committed to an armed service with a nuclear deterrent that the SNP oppose. They did not reveal how the large gap between Scottish tax revenue and current spending would be filled. They  did stress the oil revenues which have now been slashed by a large fall in the oil price. There was no clear pledge to take their share of the U.K. national debt on exit. Quite often it seemed some of the SNP did not want independence, favouring a muddle of the pound and EU membership Instead. It should now be quite clear that offering more and more devolved powers to the Scottish Parliament is not going to reconcile proponents of independence to the U.K. The SNP seeks to turn all debates in the U.K. Parliament into arguments about the relative powers of the Union pArliament and the devolved government. They do not want devolution to work..... John Redwood

Dropping dead in the street isn't the same as dropping dead immediately from Covid.
How do you know they didnt have Covid for the last 7 days? Or 10 days? Or 48 hours.

You asked for evidence of people dropping dead - I gave it. That isn't the same as them INSTANTLY dropping dead as you claimed I said. Which I did not.. Once again you are lying.

One also merely linked it for the benefit of the discussion absent whether I beleived it, was sceptical of it, or disputed it.

Once again you assume I wholeheartedly agree with the conclusion because I linked evidence of such occurring. But then you claim I am an anti vaxxer, which is also a lie - I have always had ALL my vaccines to date.

Yet you consistently lie and claim I am an anti vaxxer. Which I am not.

Why do you do that? Because you read between the lines of my hesitancy to get the Covid vaccine and erroneously conclude I must be an anti vaxxer - how could anyone not taking the vaccine not be is your thought!!!!

Evidence of such stories please.

"People dropping dead in the street in China was not false. There was a viral video out there at the time"

These viral videos were ALL over Twitter at the time.

Doesn't mean they dropped dead instantly from covid though. And I never claimed it was "instant death"

Recall that Alan Hansen, TV pundit on the day, asked live as the disaster unfolded 'who do you blame for this' and he answered everyone who turned up without a ticket. Much easier to try and pin the blame on the police though, who had an impossible task to deal with.

I’ve not read what GG has written (permanently filtered), but in the past he’s believed that covid can cause instant death “saw it in a you tube video”"

This is why I am for ending anonymity on the internet because then blatant lying c*nts such as you DrBiotech could be tracked down.

I never claimed this, because I simply do not believe such. Nor do most. And I've certainly never seen a youtube video claiming this either.”

Been a tad difficult to get a word in on here today. Arja and minnie in some sort of personal competition to outpost each other in a slanging match. Even the few i have on filter (for being a bit foul and a lot boring) seem to be taking up the pages.
Never mind. tomorrows another day (hopefully). Time for another variant and no doubt another u-turn from Fatty and the gang.
