Reading that 26% of Covid cases were the New one in November
Couple of weeks into Dec the New covid bug accounted for 60%

How do they know that for sure.. Do they test everyone who sadly lost their life.

If they are going to throw numbers at us, please explain how the are derived so that we can undetstand

That article... (with the usual warnings of brexit and covid - I still found this statement so interesting)

"Values are so depressed that for every 60p of UK bank shares an investor buys, they are in effect receiving £1 of assets in return, research for The Mail on Sunday shows. The UK's listed banks are trading at an average of 62 per cent of their 'book value', according to analysis conducted by financial planner Bowmore Wealth Group. This means banks are currently valued at significantly less than the value of all their assets. Charles Incledon, a director at Bowmore, says: 'The UK stock market is still relatively undervalued, and banks offer a clear illustration of this."

Labour combined with the saner Conservative MP's will get any deal through parliament.
About 80% of all voters want a 'soft' Brexit.

Boris Johnson will see off his nutters just as Churchill defeated a vote of no confidence during the War.

Sunday Times today says £ Stirling will collapse to around $1.2 if there is no deal.

As for reading the articles posted, I would rather read the concerns of the CEO's of most major companies in the UK.

Article says Macron is playing tough because he has his eye on the next Presidential election.
Being tough on Britain is popular in France.

Ironic really, Boris Johnson realises his lifelong ambition by reversing his lifelong support of our membership of the EU.
Farage having failed to become an MP on many occasions found fame and fortune by pretending to be violently anti EU.

That is the real problem of the EU. too many politicians exploiting nationalism to get popular.

anne miles19 Dec 2020 9:50PMIf the ERG didn't exist, we'd have to invent them. They are the Keepers of the Watch in respect of the Brexit deal we need. No fudge, no sleight of hand or NO DEAL....Pip Squeak19 Dec 2020 10:09PMGreat to see Mark Francois writing an excellent article again. It's looking likely that No Deal will prevail (pray God), but keep up the pressure please on Boris and Frosty who must hold firm. No Deal = Ideal. No fudge. No more extensions.171LikeReplyWilliam Goodwin19 Dec 2020 10:09PM"If we accept any deal which means that when the EU issues a new Directive or Regulation, we are legally bound to follow it – whether we like it or not – then in truth, we have not really left the EU at all but merely remain in their orbit as a vassal state."So, Mr Francois, if we get a deal that does just this - and the signs are not looking good - I have one question:What is the point of Boris and his party if they can't deliver a proper Brexit with an 80 seat majority?... This editorial is primarily about Brexit, so we will only mention in passing that this 'mutant green turtle' COVID-variant was in fact identified by UK scientists back in September, and will have been around for some time before that. Even the WHO has admitted that the existence of this and other strains had been known for months. As Professor David Livermore, Professor of Medical Microbiology, commented yesterday: "The delay before it expanded doesn't fit with super-infectiousness."No, instead of the very dubious facts around COVID and the Government's responses, let's look at a big Brexit opportunity.

What a cheerful thread! Just to underwrite the negative sentiment I see far better investment prospects than LLoyds in 2021. If there is a BREXIT deal I'd be selling out on the bounce . Have been a holder for some considerble time but definitely not now !

Once again Janet Daley proves she has a greater depth of understanding than most commentators and certainly more than most politicians. It seems that there is a growing consensus amongst the sharper minds that lockdowns are a blunt and limited tool and in many ways are creating other serious problems. The scientists have shown thier usual narrow scope of an issue and today's politicians have become so addicted to populism rather than analytical reasoning they are incapable of reaching decisions of conviction.
I feel sorry for Doris. He has only ever been able to do populism and so is at the mercy of the 'experts' and they have let him dwn.
Starmer is beneath contempt. He hasnt offered a single constructive suggestion or word of encouragement just thrown stones from the safety of the anonymous and therefore as he hopes blameless opposition. People havent been fooled.
