Brussels do not want another case like Greece, not that was all Greece fault but Scotland means nothing to Brussels.. but for "panish" UK for dare to break away they will encourage and support their ... "independence "Be aware Scotland.. your future is at risk. Nikola and her rest mafia are only interest in titles and personal fortune.

careful, I suspect that the SNP believes it can switch from the nipple of the English taxpayer to the nipple of the Euroland taxpayer. I quite like the Scots, I have had a few Highlanders work for me in the past, but if they want to go, then good luck to them. We can stop paying their bills, and they will learn that Brussels is not the friend they think it might be.

Vaccine first day and market turns positive. Keeping the promise of the people's vote by Boris government we will see (Lloyds at 42p) more upwards movements from market..

Stirling is deal sensitive.
It must mean something.

I am sitting on cash at the moment.
Can't work out which way to jump.

Either way the markets will react.
Maybe it will be another inconclusive fudge, not a black/white situation.

Barnier is French but you should be aware he is also Grenoblois and Grenoble is very near Vizille.

'boris must tell them change or die'.
Some comment are becoming ridiculous.

An angle that amuses me is the thought that Brexiteers will play the part of the EU. if there is a Scottish referendum.

Can you imagine it, a SNP nutter saying to the rest of the UK, 'Change or die'.

Scottish UK remainers will argue that we do well out of being in the UK.
SNP will argue about the tyranny of being ruled by Westminster.

This will become amusing.

Just leaving the EU Looks better and better. Look at how they tried to entrap us once again under their rules. We must leave the single market where we have a huge trade deficit. Let's have our own rules and tariffs which let us make and grow more at home... Twitter... John Redwood

John Redwood@johnredwood4hThe EU is allowing huge subsidies and state aids to its businesses. No sign of a level play field there, yet they still want to stop us helping our businesses. No deal is better than an unfair deal.

I am reluctant to ask you another question since I know that you do not have an answer (or the one that you would like ) and since you simply will ignore it, as you did my last, but..
Can you point to the direction that "The UK is striking trade deals all over the place"..?
Do you mean rolling over the deals already in place via the EU membership...like Japan?...with no additional benefit?
Or has Cameroon final come up trumps?

Personally I think it is well past time to tax UK expats living overseas as the US does.

Alphorn needs to be taxed at a proper rate(or he can rescind his UK citizenship to continue avoiding such)

he'll be back in a flash to avail himself of the NHS if he needs it, as most expats do - despite never paying anything into the system once they've left!

Alphorn bless him. You know what with all this uncertainty as a society we all deserve a pat on the back if we can keep everything together to ensure that people like Alphorn are happy & enjoying themselves. Well done us!
