I don't think success is just "going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm". Endurance, perseverance and attitude are important but most of all you need to be learning from your mistakes, not just maintaining enthusiasm, because if you don't you'll just end-up being a serial loser. Like many of this thread.

My g2, your wounds go so deep. Could we resurrect the bones of MacMillan and serve a broth of fair-minded "remember the days of Family Jewels" to bring healing?

maxidi - no doubt you have noticed that there are a small handful of posters on here who have different views on the outcome of an No Deal Brexit.
Is it your proposal that we sit back and make no comment to the endless nonsense that is spouted on the thread with no response? You prefer listening to one side of the argument and never have your own view challenged?

maxidi - good idea. You will note that I have never disclosed that sort of information. It is not helpful nor relevant (to be serious for a moment).

Will we are on serious - what has made you become so 'amere' over the recent years? Not like the maxidi of the past at all.

cheshire - it is being able to bounce back. I feel for many who through no fault of their own will have difficult times in the coming months. Not a good experience.

maxidi - you have now. ;)

Like the bit above 'there is no evidence to show that a mask prevents.....'.
An old debating trick that.
There is no evidence to show that it does not help either.

Anyone undergoing a tricky heart operation will be pleased to see that the surgeon and nurses are wearing masks.

Of course it helps.

Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm. Attributed to Churchill.
Have had plenty of failures over the years Alphorn. I take it that it is something you've never experienced.

Slow is an understatement.

mm2 - those are pretty quick. I run a Magnum V8 motor and they would catch me. Rarely used by the Customs people. No speed limits on the lake.
