Last time I had Scottish currency the shop wouldn't take it, said haven't you got any English money.

I wouldn't have minded so much, but it was in Edinburgh.

Someone ought to explain to BB that printing Scottish Sterling notes does not mean they've got a monetary system in place. He in all sincerity, but naively posted some graphics of Scottish notes as proof they had their own currency. We are bailing out Scotland big time once again over the lock-down. They are simply not a country of independent means, but do have a big stake in the Union. Pity they hate standard English and think anyone who speaks with neutral received pronunciation, is a Toooory. Unfortunately the class system in England is still based on regional accents and absolutely nothing to do with wealth. But you can get very wealthy if you have a sought after accent and become a speech coach. Richard Burton had to work very hard to get rid of his Pontrhydyfen accent to acquire that lugubrious voice that won him 7 Oscars. Dare I say it, he was a single facial expression actor.

Well said jacko. Desperate tactics by the remoaners now. They won't give up, different guises and ploys so we need to be vigilant. Boris and his advisors including Cummings will be wise to it.
No extension, leave no deal.

So many whiners on here, surprised Matron allows them a computer after dark.

Of course the Cummings fiasco is all about Brexit, so far the holier than thou brigade baying for Boris have included two of the most hypocritical losers ever born. I speak of Blair's lying in chief Alaister Campbell and the whining Yvette Cooper.

One may think that Campbell, the man who wouldn't know the truth if it bit him, a chancer with the blood of hundreds of British soldiers on his hands and the hounding to death of David Kelly, yes that man who told us all of the WMD in Iraq.

Then we have Yvette Cooper, or Mrs Balls to those who know her, Yvette and friends put up every obstacle to stop Brexit and she is still at it. In the last five days we have seen SNP's Ian Blackford who sits in Parliament with the votes of the isle of Skye's sheep population and a few crofters who don't even own a radio set.

Enough is enough, the folks have had enough.

it is in the telegraph - Such a sensible commentary.
Doubt that the lefties would even read the words - rather rely on kevin Maguire - does he ever listen to the things that come out of his mouth - what a bore you are as are all of your Mirror mates.
Only one sided coins for you eh?
There again the word sensible is not in the Mirror archive of words

Covid-19: Lloyds Bank postpones redundancies until October

Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) has decided to suspend all job cuts until October this year in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, City A.M. has reported.

The bank has not only decided to suspend new job cuts but also retain the staff already going through the redundancy processes.

Initially, Lloyds Bank suspended staff exits on a rolling monthly basis in April and May 2020, the report added.

The bank, however, told the media group that it has decided to postpone all involuntary staff exits until October 2020.

A spokesperson for Lloyds Bank said: “We have made a number of commitments to our colleagues to address their concerns during the current crisis, including continuing to pay them in full regardless of their working circumstances.

“We have also pledged that any colleague placed on notice of redundancy will not leave the group before October.”

Alps glib retort suggests hes not willing to address the facts....sweep it all under the carpet. The only way for the backward EU nanny state to survive is to expand because the EU is less than the sum of its parts they're just not at the races.
