27/5/2020 17:59 | Jon, Wales , Wednesday, May 27, 2020, 01:35:Sydney (comment 2) - Albeit off topic, I wholly agree with your thoughts re Mr Cummings. Boris should stand firm and support his advisor, and not give in over a media driven issue, for Boris would then be seen as weak leader.I trust all readers have noticed there hasn't been a proportionate reporting by the 'media attack force' around Mr Cummings' vehicle, ever so desperate to get pictures with their TV cameras. My opinion on the pack of news wolves is they were harassing Mr Cummings, including the obvious fact they were not social distancing in their questionable efforts, even when politely asked to do so. Everyone has the right to protection, Mr Cummings included.-What those news wolves SHOULD be reporting is to highlight illegal migration across the channel, and the fact French authorities appear to be doing little or nothing to stop it - despite UK taxpayers shelling out a fortune to help France do just that.We have many satellites which can pinpoint to less than one metre, yet they fail to 'see' illegal boat operations from French shores - or can they? It's been suggested French border force vessels turn off their transponders as they shadow illegal boat crossings into British waters - (Only Mr Macron could sanction such illegal behaviour)?I suggest France will do anything to get rid of THEIR illegal migrant problem and turn a 'blind-eye' to illegal channel crossings. The UK should sue France (or the EU) in this regard, for when all is said and done, France is a safe country - so one wonders why illegal migrants (or "irregular" migrants as the EU prefer to define them) dislike France so much, even when they shouldn't be there in the first place. This also highlights the failures of Mr Macron.Either way, illegal migrants MUST be returned to their country of departure, and people traffickers disrupted, caught, and locked up. | xxxxxy

27/5/2020 17:55 | David Mortimer 27 May 2020 2:41PMThis is the remoaners last ditch attempt to salvage something from Brexit hence the big remoaner guns like Blackford, Heseltine, Campbell , Vesey and I notice the Tory MP's who voted remain, civil servants and now the clergy have all jumped on the bandwagon. This is a remoaner witch hunt pure and simple with sinister ulterior motives. If Boris Johnson sacks Dominic Cummings, this trial by media will become a regular occurrence and the Conservative party will be the target. | xxxxxy
27/5/2020 17:54 | Michael Welby 27 May 2020 8:47AMWhat we've witnessed these last few days is the effort of the broadcast media and press (including this rag which, until yesterday, I subscribed to) endeavouring to influence the policies of a democratically elected government and which they don't like. That trumps anything DC did in my book | xxxxxy
27/5/2020 17:53 | Janet Warrior 27 May 2020 8:42AMNice of these turn-coat Tories to put their heads above the parapet. They are all either Remainers wanting to damage their own Government to extend the transition, or those who have been on the sharp end of Dom's tongue and have fragile egos. Not a good look now the voters have heard Dom's side of the story. | xxxxxy
27/5/2020 17:52 | George Jackson 27 May 2020 8:50AMThe OTT reaction to Cummings trip is very worrying for the sanity of some of the population of this country. Psychiatrists will need a Nightingale Hospital to certify these looney left, BBC, Sky and rubbish media reporters, because this hysteria is certainly making Britain appear to be a country of morons. | xxxxxy
27/5/2020 17:52 | As in 1997, an incoming Labour Government will be obliged in 2025 to clear up the huge mess that this current Conservative Government will bequeath to our Nations. Massive un-repayable Government debts, embittered neighbours in Europe and collapsed industries will be our Tory legacy. We shall have to go ‘cap in hand’ to our neighbours asking for re-admission to the EU on much less favourable terms than those we had until the Johnson Government destroyed our neighbourhood relationships. Sliding out from the subservient trade relations we expect to achieve with the Trump Presidency (if there’s time before November) will disrupt our relationships within NATO and the 5 eyes. Never before in the history of barmy governments have so many been misled by so few. | minerve 2
27/5/2020 17:37 | The £ must keep first place for worst performing major currency in the world! “World beating” isn’t that right Doris? LOL | minerve 2
27/5/2020 17:34 | No M2Brexiteers knew what they wanted all a long. The problem lies with the rest 48% of voters. Labour and BBC brainwash them well ( ordinary people we are talking about ) and even today they can't say why they want a deal (remain in reality) with Brussels. For UK to stay in Europe was a disaster both, money wise and business.. "so for that reason I'm out " | k38
27/5/2020 17:33 | So if we are to believe reports, 40 Tory MPs want Cummings to resign. There are 365 Tory MPs. 40/365 is 11% or put another way 325/365 is 89%. So who does Boris take notice of the 11% or the 89% lol. | cheshire pete

27/5/2020 17:28 | Just watch the £ fall. If things were looking so good for the UK economy the £ would be rising, no? Don’t tell me, it is a deliberate ploy to increase export value right? ROFLMAO! | minerve 2
27/5/2020 17:26 | K38 Sorry you are wrong. Many people who voted for Brexit wanted a deal. Only the bedsit capitalist nutter crew want WTO terms. | minerve 2
27/5/2020 17:24 | maxidi your 305096 I agree with everything you say about DC, In addition I view those people who are howling for his resignation as enemies of the state, whose sole goal is to bring about an extreme left wing socialist government in the UK. These anarchists are a danger to the well being of the nation. | azalea
27/5/2020 17:24 | Hard Brexit = Leave Soft Brexit = Remain The nation voted to leave We have left. No chicanery in transition period. | cheshire pete
