It is all very well to applaud when insiders take a bit of a pay cut under the current circumstances...compare that to what they have already taken in the past...and compare their entire current remuneration package that includes company benefits...me thinks a good PR ing for the gullible ...

There, the CEO and CFO have taken salary cuts of 33%, and all other board members plus the senior management have taken cuts of 25%. Makes a nice change from just firing a few thousand people while giving yourselves a bonus for doing so.

there is a 'natural' alternative to Hydroxychloroquine that a lot of people are using, to great effect, they are using a combination of Sodium Citrate, DMSO and Chlorine Dioxide, it has been in use for a while and doing very well.

The Home Kong Flu of 1969/70 killed 80,000 in uk over 2 winters.
Peak week was Jan 1970, 20,000 deaths.

The real problem is overpopulation.
We are all going to be poorer and hungrier.
Pandemics will become commonplace.
The next war will be biological.
Aircraft carriers, submarines and nukes are so last century.

gbh2,

After the financial crisis of 2008-9, the banks strengthened their capital base... Therefore, I think Lloy as well Barc/RBS will come out of Covid 19 ok..

What happens between now and the outbreak being declared as over is the important thing... plus what sort of time frame before it's over..

It says that it manages tax in a responsible manner to optimise returns for shareholders.

Examine that closer.

Richard Branson does that - bad.
The Greens do that - bad.
Household global names do that, especially US companies - bad

Faceless boards do that - brilliant.

"if you are expecting a recession ( nearly 100% sure) then why are you 'drip feeding'??"

Because we're in unknown waters and I don't know how deep the recession will be, do you?
I'm expecting further falls in the stockmarkets as we get more economic data...

#748. It is right that directors take pay cuts at this time.

To give the other side of the coin, on 1 May 2009 the company announced that it would restructure its business so it was incorporated in Jersey but tax resident in Switzerland. It says that it manages tax in a responsible manner to optimise returns for shareholders.

All wonderful - but not for others..............

Keifer.

Spot on.

Lost a family relative friday from CoronaVirus.
No co-morbidities.

Virus is nasty. People are too complacent.

It's also far far worse than flu.

Straight comparison of CFR to CFR is ample evidence of such..but what people deceitfully do is compare Covid-19 IFR to Flu CFR to claim there isnt much difference.

Believe me, none of you want to catch this, whether you have a co-morbidity of not.

It takes your internal organs apart.
