28/4/2020 23:12 | cheshire Pollen has been high. My GF has had it bad even though it generally doesn't bother her. The fact we have had little rain hasn't helped. :) | ![]() minerve 2
28/4/2020 23:00 | Agreed Minerve, we think we may have had mild symptoms but could just as easily been down to high pollen and / or the farmers applying various products to the fields. Not going to soft peddle now though, in fact we'll take our own view on if and when to end the lockdown. Happy investing meanwhile. | ![]() cheshire pete
28/4/2020 22:53 | Who knows Cheshire, sounds plausible, as you say. The best plan is to make absolutely sure you don't get it in the first place. 12 months + alteration of habit is worthwhile IMO. | ![]() minerve 2
28/4/2020 22:49 | Heard on the grapevine from someone medical that having the BCG vaccination in earlier years for TB won't prevent you getting COVID-19 symptoms but it may make it less likely to affect the lungs, TB also being a respiratory illness. Read that there's no evidence to support this but it sounds plausible, and they used to say no evidence smoking harmful. Thoughts anyone? Hoping for a good run for the black horse now. | ![]() cheshire pete

28/4/2020 22:32 | EU, Mexico conclude new trade agreement. The European Union and Mexico finished negotiations on the new trade agreement, the European Commission announced on Tuesday. According to the deal, all trade between Mexico and the bloc will be duty-free. In addition, the agreement should allow for more effective implementation of programs such as the Paris Climate Agreement. "Today's agreement is clear evidence of our shared commitment to advance our agenda of partnership and cooperation. This agreement - once in force - will help both the EU and Mexico to support our respective economies and boost employment." Negotiations with Mexico started in May 2016 and both sides reached an agreement in principle on the trade part in April 2018. The new agreement, once ratified, will replace the existing EU-Mexico Global Agreement, which entered into force in 2000. .................... May 2016....whats the time now Frank?..just coming up to May 2020!!! | ![]() smartypants
28/4/2020 22:31 | You learned about the covid19 outbreak at the same time as everyone else in this country? Or you knew about it before the government? Think about what you are saying. | ![]() icejelly
28/4/2020 22:30 | 899 Sh You miss the point entirely. Polio S Pox TB MMR standard immunisation programmes in UK not else where. Those that did not have the jabs as kids are more prone to viruses - and they are the risk. Those jabs provide a boost to the body resistance - Those without it may well not combat any challenge. OF COURSE THERE IS NO VACCINE FOR C 19!! | ![]() jl5006

28/4/2020 22:15 | NHS work with the government on NHS funding and both have advisors and inputs from pandemic risk assessments. To suggest the government can simply wash its hands on failures not to stockpile sufficient PPE is ridiculous. | ![]() minerve 2
