How about encouraging all those who have had the virus, recovered and no longer infectious to go out as much as possible. If the virus lands on them it will die out.

Poikka Be selective...I am very confident with Lloyds, especially if they stop the dividends for a year or two, to deal with the situation. Also, the lower the price the better for us. I haven't invest yet waiting for the last minute and lower of 32p with bottom (may happen)of 21pI remember well - and follow the low of 21p or 19.5 to be exact, just like today - and before no long we see the price above 70sExpect thesame.

K38 - "I am afraid this will not be over in a month time or two."

Aha, but what about the unknown - will this virus start to taper-off during March and April as does 'flu?

Only time will tell.

Even if the infection figures for next week show a slowing down of the spread of the disease, would you start investing? I'd be very picky, because the profit warnings will be coming like no tomorrow.

Remember the good old days, everyone, when the share price reflected prospects a year or two ahead?

This now (always really) it's all about the business and jobs.I am afraid this will not be over in a month time or two.If the market correct it's self at reasonable prices that's another story BUT will take long time for shares to fully recover.

H Pylori is not an off patent drug! Refer AZN drugs etc that addressed this need.

Mitchy, I remember in the 70's 2 Australian Dr's finding a cure for stomach ulcers using combination of drugs that the licenses had run out on. The drug would have been same price as asprin. It's always been thought there isn't a cure. Drug companies would have lost billions on their drugs just to placate not cure. Always wondered what happened to it. Big companies probably bought them out so folk would keep suffering and paying for relief.

David Cornwell 16 Mar 2020 2:29PM@Sean Freas There are just under 1,000 deaths *per month* from prostate cancer in the UK every year. That puts it all into perspective.

Did you calculate incubation period in that? Some are self-isolating when the virus bolted x number of days/weeks ago.

I agree. The reason I mention the fifties was that this is where the share price had reached before the Coronavirus hit. With a 10% dividend yield, as well as an increasing share price, I intend keeping these for some time to come.
