"Meanwhile, coronavirus "mass burial sites" are being planned by the government for a worst-case scenario pandemic, it has emerged.

The Cabinet Office is working with local councils on “excess death contingency planning”, the BBC reported.

Policy Editor at BBC Newsnight, Lewis Goodall, tweeted: “I understand the Cabinet Office has been in communication with local authorities about “Excess Death Contingency Planning” - effectively their “mass death preparedness” plans in the event of coronavirus being at upper end of worst case scenario.

“I am told that the topics in the Cabinet Office discussions include potential new (and perhaps mass) burial sites”.

For four years, a team of scientists at MIGAL has been developing a vaccine to combat infectious bronchitis virus (IBV), which causes a bronchial disease affecting poultry. The effectiveness of the vaccine has been demonstrated during preclinical trials carried out at the Veterinary Institute.

During the process, they discovered a process for developing new vaccines that they expect will help facilitate a novel coronavirus vaccine in world-beating time.
