EARLKING - FT comment

In my industry new business has come to a total stop. 1.3% growth? More like a 10% fall if the existing conditions are any guide. If we get a hard Brexit much, much worse. The ignorance of Brexiters astounds me. The only possible explanation is that they are actually all short UK Plc like the Brexit Tories in Parliament are. Traitors all.

It is ageist not to have a second vote.
old people take time to understand things and are dithery.
They were bought up to hate foreigners on a diet of war films....but even many of them know by now they were wrong.

They must be given a second chance, bless them.

Careful - "The electorate will lose faith in democracy unless they are given a chance in a second referendum."

Funny how folk look at things differently, cos I thought that that was a bit of a contradiction.

"Eastern Europeans" aren't "refugees" I hate to tell you, in fact the Eastern Europeans that I know are all highly educated, articulate, intelligent, and motivated, which is one hell of a lot more that I can say for the majority who post on this forum.......

janekane, the laws exist to throw people out of the country – even those from the EU – if they are not gainfully employed after a certain amount of time. Our government chooses not to enforce them because it is a running a pile it high sell it cheap economy. Its choice, not the EU's diktat.
Interestingly, the government are now dropping their commitment to get overall immigaation down. They clearly have no intention of changing their economic model – they'll just get the labour in from somewhere else instead.

Lupton has bought another 200,000. Probably still building his stake ahead of becoming Chairman, if the rumour is true, of course.

The amount of Eastern European cadgers ,beggars in the middle of our great capital is a disgrace
The police are powerless to do anything they haven't got the time ,manpower to deal with this problem
These Peaple were allowed in to our country on the assumption they would get jobs
Get out of the EU and get shot of these beggars send them back let the EU deal with this problem
The sooner we are out the better

We all know the answer to that one, mikemichael. careful will call for a 3rd vote and a 4th and a fifth until things go careful's way.

I don't think it matters much because everyone can see the 2nd referendum calls for what they are.

Best of three!

Best of five!

Best of 27!

The electorate will lose faith in democracy unless they are given a chance in a second referendum.
So the old voters voted to screw up the futures of the young.
We must give them a chance to reverse their mistake.

they will never trust politicians again if they do not get a second vote.
It will be truly democratic.

It is coming, there is enough talent to make it happen.

Tweets from Tom ND. I wouldn't expect to see the usual Santa rally as this gets underway.

Big moment: No10 announces Cabinet has agreed “to implement our no deal plans in full”. Businesses should also do same, and citizens should look out for further Govt advice in next few weeks.

and

This week, 80,000 emails being sent out directly to businesses most affected by no deal changes to VAT, Customs and Excise and regulations.
