"If we don't get a good deal and not allowed a no deal, I'll not vote Tory again, cant vote Labour, we need a new party. come on you Leaver's bring it on."

What makes you think you are entitled to a no deal? You voted to Leave. No deal completely disregards 48% of those that voted to Remain. All because you won the vote doesn't mean you have the mandate to ignore democracy. I think that view is very much typical of a Leave voter. It is selfish, ignorant - and to be honest - immature.

When you look at the 3 year chart from June 2016 (Referendum Vote) to date... it looks like a classic mountain reversal heading towards 48 - 50p...with a double top around the 72.5p...

MrE - why do you say that? There are large forces of 'douane volantes' patrolling on the continent. FI the douanes have greater powers than the police etc.

47p target for Lloyd's on uncertainty, but no deal spike and bears selling to 39p. That's my thoughts.

who is going to police any third country operators?

No it amounts to a threat of economic war...with the total collusion of the UK establishment.

Northern Irish firms face 60-lorry limit in Republic in no-deal Brexit

Businesses on both sides of border would suffer as permits are limited, freight group says

Lisa O'Carroll Brexit correspondent

Fri 30 Nov 2018 09.00 GMT

Northern Ireland will be allowed to operate just 60 lorries in the Republic of Ireland in the event of a no-deal Brexit, threatening disaster for businesses on both sides of the Irish border.

In a no-deal scenario, all commercial drivers in the UK would be reclassified as third-country operators requiring special permits to operate in the EU.

This spells chaos for the Dover-Calais route, which 11,000 trucks cross each day, and has special consequences in Ireland, where 13,000 cross-border journeys are made daily, transporting everything from bread to Guinness to cement.

The Department for Transport told the Freight Transport Association (FTA) this week that only 984 annual European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT) permits would be issued for 2019.

More remainer twaddle here:

montyhedge, the 11th December situation is bloody marvellous for investors - it's an open goal! I see no reason to buy anything before then.

Perhaps a day or two before on a "sell the rumour, buy the news" basis i.e. getting in before those buying the news.

Don't think so,if no deal sterling down 10% but FTSE 100 up 8% because of dollar earners, pharmaceuticals etc, domestic sterling earners not for me, especially banks.

...…...in the meantime just rake in the returns from GBP and domestics. Risk/return is money in the bank. Uncertainty only gives one direction.

Walk without a deal and see how long it takes for them to remove Barnier. Why are we acting like Europe are going to be a great success without us. Germany is about the only country that is doing any good, the rest of them are struggling.

France, Italy, Sweden, Hungary, Greece would leave tomorrow given the chance, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Denmark also struggling and what do we have here, Theresa May letting unelected bureaucrats play her like a cheap violin.

'Go Now' as the Moody Blues hit says...take it away Barnier with backing from Tusko and Druncker.

We've already said "goodbye"
Since you gotta go, oh you'd better
Go now, go now, go now (go now, ooh)
Before you see me cry?
I don't want you to tell me just what you intend to do now
'Cause how many times do I have to tell you darlin', darlin'
I'm still in love with you now
Whoa oh oh oh
We've already said "so long"
I don't want to see you go, oh you'd better
Go now, go now, go now (go now, ooh)
Don't you even try?
Tellin' me that you really don't want it to end this way
'Cause darlin', darlin', can't you see I want you to stay, yeah
Since you gotta go, oh you'd better
Go now,…

Why would May want to debate Wee Jimmy, she represents less than a million voters, in fact 977,000 Scots voted SNP.

I was in Edinburgh last weekend, sorry Bob but Sturgeon is a busted flush, the SNP won't get 20 seats in the next election. Wee Jimmy's popularity rating has dropped from 55% to 37%.

Theresa May knows debating Sturgeon would be a free grandstand for a political leader who has little more voters than the Green Party and only 12% of what the Lib Dems got.
