Same old arguments the same old people saying the same RUBBISH.....Had we listened

to them ten years ago, Britain’s economy would be in a greater mess

than we could imagine.....Brexiteers have our countries best interests at heart...

Those who were the most fervent European integrationists have now been proven

wrong, while those who leaned more to the sceptical side were vindicated as

correct. This patchy record on the economy upsets the whole idea that the Remain

camp is the side of economic wisdom: had we listened to them ten years ago,

Britain’s economy would be in a greater mess than we could imagine. Perhaps we

should not be so quick to assume the Remain camp are to be most trusted when it

comes to the economic implications of the UK's EU membership

mikemichael, totally agree. I know lots of people who I'd deem to be pretty intelligent and hold down good jobs, but again they have no interest in what's going on with "Brexit" (which I personally find sad), and they're more interested in discussing Sally Websters plight in Corrie or Harry Redknapp in the jungle or the ticket allocation split at the next Old Firm match.

Sadly, I'd reckon this type of person is in the majority as opposed to people like us on here, having said that, maybe it's actually us that are the dafties and are really the ones that are being played.

Ignorance is bliss, as they say...............

With each day that passes, May's crazy deal is being further shot to pieces by anyone and everyone, realistically there is absolutely NO CHANCE of it passing through parliament and as for her "tour", oh dear.................

The problem with this brexit is that we are all being scammed, hood winked and fed fake news, no one really knows whats going on, or what the outcome will be, and that's why its splitting the nation.

One little example, my son and daughter both got good jobs, reasonable degree and, i would say 'avarage' understanding of life, asked them to explain what the backstop is and they both haven't a clue ! and their mates haven't a clue, and they are not really bothered, as for the rest of the conditions, all i got back was a few vague thoughts on cutting back on immigration and being able to make our own laws.

As for the wife and me, we are not far behind them, Bloody Cameron has a lot to answer for, you see little of him.

Strangely I think it is your views which will be destroyed - the (public) opinion printed on the front page of The Daily Mail is a very big and important move.

Alphorn - "I don't believe that it is a coincidence that there were no takers to challenge her"

Most likely any challengers believed that the best approach would be to let her destroy herself first. That should happen in a couple of weeks, if not before, all being well. I think that the realisation's dawning that she's stark raving mad and doesn't know it. I blame her hubby.

Over 50% think this is the best deal of what's on offer

As it's the only thing on offer it's surprising the figure isn't 100%.

As Alphorn asks regularly, why is it the only deal on offer? Why after two and a half years negotiating with (or at least talking to) Brussels did neither Johnson nor Davis come up with a deal to offer and why after 4 months in the job did Raab not have a clue what was happening?

Are the leave side just completely stupid?

May succeeded because the majority of Conservative MP's are Remoaners and so is the Cabinet.

May prevented David Davies negotiating any sort of Leave deal.

Chequers was a stitch up where ministers had to agree to the deal or resign, or be sacked, on the spot.

Why should Boris have allowed himself to be humiliated by having to walk out of Chequers after his ministerial car would have been withdrawn.

There should never have been any draft deal. The strongest position we had was that we were leaving without any further liabilities.

May converted this to a £39 billion giveaway and has no ongoing trade deal in return.

She is even worse than traitor heath.
