I wouldn't bother. Let the oil rag believe what he wants to believe. Let him stew in his little bedsit.

stonedyou: It matters not a jot to me whether you believe me or not. I have mentioned here before that I voted to leave in 2016 and I also voted not to join Europe in Referendum One. Why you think I would bother to lie to you is really not my concern.

I'd get some better weed if I were you .............

MP's will vote according to their vested interests - ie their own. Being an MP beats working for a living for many. Status and perks go with the job. Gone are the days when most MP's had a private income.

How many said they would but didn't actually send letter of no confidence in May? All this bluster will die down. Tweaks will be made but ultimately this draft will be, roughly what will happen.

It's in nobody's interest not to have a deal by March. Not Europe's or ours. Ulster nutters don't want Jeremy Corbyn and they know they are better of to keep the status quo - whatever they may squawk.

Like it or loathe it, this will, more or less be it.

I don't believe that it is a coincidence that there were:
- no takers to challenge her,
- no coherent alternative plans,
- no co-ordinated Brexit views,
- no real rush by anybody else (country) to follow suite,
- no real support for any of the Tory plans, present or past,
- no opposition views worth talking about.

Up and until now a one horse race. Tomorrow may be different of course, the horse may have stumbled.

Possibly Alphorn, but that still doesn't excuse her for selling the country out, irrespective of whether it was Cameron or the idiot electorate who got us in this situation in the first place.

But maybe less than a no deal? Pressure limited on GBP today.

We may know more on Thursday.

Maybe if she hadn't taken the attitude of, "oh well, you muppets voted for it, so get it right up ye", then we may in fact have managed to get a half decent settlement negotiated, however her pig headed attitude is undoubtedly going to screws us all, in one way or another........

willoicc - I don't agree with your black and white conclusion for the reasons posted.

They were both problems driven by the profit motive. I would be amazed if other car manufactures did not have the same electronics - there are very few manufacturers for that equipment.

Seriously misleading post that, Max! Until I read the link I thought it meant Mrs May had given up trying to foist the worst deal in history on an unwilling people.
