gbh - due to the dire revisions to the economic foreasts. The BoE sees the economy shrinking by 11% in Q4 2020, worse than a 5.4% drop projected in August.

(Their views into 2021 can IMO be largely ignored at this point - the usual 'hockey stick' where everything is improved into the future. Have you ever seen any projection where the future is worse than the present!).

It doesn't matter who wins now, the fact that it was/is even close is sad enough....

I wonder if this drop is due to all the new money the Bank on England has tossed into the market?

150 billion must have some effect.

Biden would be the POTUS to rework the labour laws for the gig economy which needs sorting, especially following the very recent California vote. The gig economy is essential today and likely to grow in importance over the period of this recession.
Leaving this sector untouched is setting up major problems for the future as this workforce grows older.

Note - Circumventing Michigan law! Ballot fraud was always the only way Biden would win.

Aggreeed about the big button (insane Americans with nukes, scary ) True and also not true, The orange guy was insane but the markets loved him, it's a Matter of opinion, I don't think the democrats"green deal" on oil will be a good move , game over for US manufacturing. This is win win win for China, I'm holding STAN and HSBC as a hedge.

Utricky

The number of Democrat senators may very well mean his powers of POTUS are somewhat limited. But that's OK with me. Just some stability and rejoining the Paris Climate deal is all he needs to do - as far as I'm concerned. The far-right chimp cage can be left to settle down, some will die and we can bury them with their pathetic little guns.

If Donald had managed to control the virus better rather than go into some ridiculous state of denial, had Donald not allowed his far-right apes to intimidate Democrat voters at polling stations, he may very well have been POTUS by now. Still madness IMO - the guy should be in a straitjacket.

No worse than Yellow Fellow.

In any case, apart from finger on the big button they are irrelevant - we are de facto governed by Google and the other FAANGS with oversight provided by Gates

If I wasn't down on this lloy long trade I'd be bailing out. The US elections, insane low iq Americans, the thought of CCP asset Biden being president , I really want to get the hell out of dodge. My portfolio is diverse but I'm scared on every level.Anyone who has seen Biden speak, knows he is mentally short, a front man who won't be in office long. At least BLM will get more of a voice, maybe they can start confiscating assets off the Jews and white peoples and make a new industry out of it like in South Africa, Great things to come if your a degenerate.

I suspect he'll be spending a great deal of time in federal courts, now that he doesn't have the protection of the presidency. And I suspect there will be greater scrutiny of his activities whilst in office.

Will he now become their shadow though and be a thorn for four years only to be re-elected in 2024? The US might have wanted him in again now and then out for good when reviewed in 2028.

The whole world loses alex. Is the World a safer place with Biden there....I doubt it.
Under Trump there was greater stability in the Middle East, ISIS were on the back foot and Rocket Man was back in his box.

Will Biden stand up to China or anyone else....doubt it. Will America become great again....doubt it.

What will Putin do if he sees Hillary there pulling his strings?

His speech last night...already we're hearing the heart on the sleeves wanting to be nice to everyone carp that we hear from our own lefties.

Bad news.

Not so strange when the in person votes are counted first, and as Trump discouraged postal voting in the early stages his votes look good, and are then constantly eroded as postal votes get counted, which are predominately Democrat. But you know this anyway, as does Trump? I'm expecting Biden to be declared President today. Sore loser Trump will do what he usually does, make false claims in court, which will be thrown out. As they should be.
