I must be insulated from all this Inflation, possibly because I'm not a purchaser of Wood, Glass, Oil, or anything on the list above :)

IF we are in the midst of hyperinflation the only weapon the BOE have to fight it is to raise interest rates ! However ,as long as oil stays flatish I can't see how run away inflation will happen. Just my idle musings .

Agreed, it's all about the "finger". Whitty, Boris and co are all terrified of having the finger pointed at them. They are damned if the do and damned if they dont.
Starmer cant wait to point the finger and pile on blame for lost lives and jobs and that's the problem of doing the right thing and changing tact.

The virus will stay here for some time, till claim a number of people, 1mil? 2mil ? Who knows. .. can't be stopped but it can controlled. I say, educate the people how to behave and let youths and healthy people continue working without damaging more the economy.

I see Wales going into total lockdown from Friday. Do they really think this thing can be stopped ? You just need ONE personto bring it in and the whole thing starts again.

k38 - a suggestion - think how it will impact you and your entourage - let other people look after themselves.
The majority of posts on here are all about looking at others. It takes the focus away from issues closer to home.

Britain’s biggest container port — Felixstowe — is grinding to a “virtual standstill” at peak times, business users and freight trade associations have warned.

"Minerva, generally I'm not offended. More disappointed would be closer to the mark. I dont see the need to call people that have a different view point idiots or be rude to them.

In fact I try to get into the mind set of the opposing view. Vile comments are particularly left trait. As is violence even if it's a milk shake. As to deeds, well, both sides have both good examples and bad."

Hey listen, if people vote or take action that I believe damages the future of my family and others do you really think I care whether you are disappointed or offended?

Wake up you stupid little man!

Yes, probably. The left seem adept at projecting so.e association or trait and then waging their figure as if their projection is true. Sorry, that's one mind set that defeats my attempts to assimulate.
