"Don't worry though as Lloyds, the friendly domestic Post Office, will still be traded on the LSE."

The LSE plans to open the Amsterdam base at the end of November, as a place to trade EU shares. On November 11, rival Aquis Exchange will add stocks to its French platform that were previously available only in London.

Before proceeding, they and their investment banks and high-frequency trading customers are hoping London and Brussels will come to an accord allowing Europe’s cross-border share trading market to remain intact beyond January.

“There will be no equivalence. People are living in a pipe dream if they think it’s going to happen, people are getting prepared to move business over.”

London is the biggest share trading centre in Europe, handling as much as 30 per cent of the €40bn daily market but, without equivalence, some of that trading will move to cities such as Amsterdam and Paris because EU-based institutions will be barred from trading in London.

Don't worry though as Lloyds, the friendly domestic Post Office, will still be traded on the LSE.

Joe Biden, his Democratic rival, is planning to reset four years of isolationist US foreign policy under a new tagline, “restoring American leadership”, in an attempt to repair strained diplomatic relations.

Mr Biden has made clear that his administration would reverse Mr Trump’s signature foreign policy decisions by immediately re-entering the Paris climate accord and halting the country’s exit from the World Health Organization.

Excellent! Come on Joe! See the Orange Man and red-necks back into their caves - where they belong!

"at least a snake with a brain"

Yes, I'll agree he has some form of brain. :)

Not sure which is more dangerous though: A snake with a brain or a complete and utter clown.

"what is it with people on the left that they say such vile things?"

Maybe you are right!

People on the left say vile things.
People on the right do vile things.

Which one do you think affects you most?

Don't say you are thin skinned and words hurt you?

You are supposed to be a capitalist. To be a successful one you need thicker skin old boy.

Have you got any savings/investments or are you a trainee capitalist ATM?

LOL!

I remembered the pharma I was in some years ago- Fulcrum. Was having a look to see if I could find the name of the drug that didnt work. Time flies it must have been before the turn of the century I think.
It was interesting to read some of the posts. 'Sit back and enjoy the ride' 'Will be 100p by Christmas' 'Why are we unloved compared to the other pharms'. Now where have I heard that lot before? It got bought out by Gold around 2012 for a fraction (of not much) due to being unable to raise cash

I got a local guy, a friend to replace two double glazed windows in my kitchen last week and when he went to pick up the glass the glass had gone up 22%.
Nothing seems to go up 2 or 3% anymore if you have noticed.

More inflation....

Rightmove said the national average asking price climbed 1.1% to a record GBP323,530 in October, from GBP319,996 in September. Annually, the October rise is 5.5%, or GBP16,818, the biggest rate of increase in over four years, Rightmove noted. The portal now forecasts annual price growth of about 7% by the end of December as the housing market continues its bounce following the Covid-19 lockdown.

Gecko - "All they (EU) wanted was "MONEY"

More than that, G, they wanted the rest of the EU to see how they could make us suffer, and for as long as possible, to discourage the rest from following us down the gangplank.

Should be (yet another) interesting week.

"Bishops in the Lords side with the EU against the majority wish for the U.K. to be independent." - Graham

Thing is, what credibility do they have? They're trying to brainwash the public into their belief that there's a supreme being, for which there's not a shred of evidence.

They should be banged up for spreading fake news.
