OK, noted. On the cable chart, I see initial support around 1.21-23. It's not the euro, I realize that. Good luck.

polar - yes, retain some long GBP positions (@€1.10). I had posted before that I realised that I might hand back some of my short GBP gains since 2016.
IMO this is ultimate sabre rattling and sense may still prevail. No Deal is not a favourite option otherwise it would have been triggered a long time ago.
Dangerous times - take care.

EU tells UK to back down on controversial legislation or face trade talks collapsing

What, the trade talks that aren't going anywhere anyway?

BRING IT ON. It's time we gave those crooks a bloody nose.

What is wrong with this statement?

It is bizarre that No 10 has failed to point out to Remainers the first rule of geopolitical jurisprudence: sovereign will is the ultimate authority in the creation of international law. Ergo international law is only valid to the extent that it does not subordinate the principle of sovereign will.

"EU hands Britain end-of-September deadline to withdraw internal market bill."

And then, if we don't? Have a few dinners, and meetings, in that order. Take us to court, which won't happen before e.o.y. by which time we'll be on wto and disappearing over the horizon.

Too much artificial wringing of hands coming out of Brussels. As for other countries not being able to trust us, they know that this is an internal matter as we fight to keep out of the EU's clutches.

It's an unbelievable situation, not being able to leave the club! How the Remoaners can't (won't) see the inequality and bullying coming out of Brussels, is beyond my comprehension. Who in their right mind would want to be part of that overbearing, stifling, bureaucratic bloc, and why?

Alp,

Are you still long £? I think it could get very ugly between Brussels and London and cable is already down from almost 1.35 last week to almost 1.28. Could go much lower in the weeks ahead, if things go badly.

Boris thinks that he is posting on this thread. Not up against some real people.

EU hands Britain end-of-September deadline to withdraw internal market bill. Boris Johnson’s Brexit gambit risks all. (FT just now)

Ashley Great Britain , Thursday, September 10, 2020, 07:57:Its shameful to see the response of the likes of john major and Theresa may. They are saying how bad it is that the UK will break international law. What they mean is this was all a plan to keep the UK tied to the EU.That's exactly what they want and have been working for.Anti British traitors in our midsts!
