But how about relations with the Palestinians and Israel?

You can't be a Nobel Peace winner when you create wars and divisions everywhere else!

LOL

Hell, another four years and he might even start a civil war in his own backyard!

ROFLMAO!

You just have to laugh at the lack of IQ with some of these people.

Neil C , Tuesday, September 08, 2020, 07:06:As far as I can tell from ministerial comments, what the UK Government is doing is clarifying exactly what arrangements the UK believes appropriately implement the NI Protocol. This would be very sensible and is not the tearing up of the document implied by various hysterical allegations. The EU has a long history of the broadest possible interpretation of clauses that give power to EU institutions, an example is the supposed test for state aid that this causes or could cause a distortion to cross border trade, this has become interpreted so widely that virtually any commercial transaction is assumed to meet it in a formal state aid assessment. Interpretation of the protocol, particularly the provisions on state aid and competition, cannot be left to the EU.Many investors will be finding the EU fondness for international law deeply ironic. EU Member States have lost at multiple international arbitrations regarding the treatment of investors into projects in Europe. The EU has blocked the enforcement of the arbitration awards because it believes that EU law overrides international law, despite the question of jurisdiction being addressed in detail in each arbitration, including contributions by the EC itself. It seems the EU believes in international law when it works in favour of the EU.

Tory MP Tobias Ellwood, a former defence minister, said that if Britain broke international law over Brexit, it would weaken its voice when urging China, Russia or Iran to stick to a rules-based order.

“We are all trying to get a trade deal over the line, but in the process we risk losing sight of who we are and the values we uphold,” he said.

Absolutely right.

What a hollow victory the referendum has turned out to be.

Donald Trump nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize is like Harold Shipman being nominated for GP of the year award.

The Palestinians must be in a state of confusion.

The mind boggles.

A currency reflects confidence in both the economics and ethics of a country. Sell sterling , it is a big world and there are less complicated and more convincing opportunities out there.

Brexit: MEP attacks 'fake news' of Barnier Northern Ireland threat

Report claimed threat to food trade with rest of UK prompted PM’s plan to renege on EU deal

Nathalie Loiseau, a former French minister for EU affairs, who sits on a committee of MEPs coordinating the European parliament’s position on trade talks with the UK, said she feared Brexiters were looking for a reason to blow up the current talks.

“Do you want us to lose patience and slam the door and leave?” she asked.

That's exactly what we want you stupid bint.

I recall Royal Mail trying to compete in Germany, and were flatly told that only German born nationals were permitted to carry mail, and the same applies in Belgium! Meanwhile DHL (German post office) is all over the shop in the UK! TNT by the way is the Dutch post office, and they force Royal Mail to carry their letters for the very expensive 'last mile'.

Reminds me of a lyric from The Jam:

"...What you see is what you get
You've made your bed, you better lie in it
You choose your leaders and place your trust
As their lies wash you down and their promises rust..."

Just for the record:
'The UK government spends half as much - 0.38% of GDP - on supporting businesses as France, at 0.76% and roughly a quarter as much as Germany's 1.51%.'
