Good luck to the police enforcing the lockdown we'll need when the second spike comes around; we are now, basically, a failed state with no rule of law and a government which picks and chooses when to enforce its own regulations...

Boom. Johnson just lost the country’s confidence - for those that still had it. No one has to adhere to anything No 10 says from now on. What a bloody fool Johnson is. He would be so much stronger ultimately by taking the right decision which is to not support someone who has flagrantly broken the rules he set himself. This only confirms the view that Cummings is the de facto PM and won’t fire himself. U.K. is a sinking ship.

Cummings is a bulldog, in the midst of Boris's problems in the house, in the very first week as leader, t'was Cummings who wrote the script to Labours' landslide defeat!
We need this hard nut and the David Frost types to keep Barnier on the Back foot. Frost is points up on the Frenchman who laid a trap for Britain by trying to separate the economic and political withdrawal into different time frames (a desperate move to delay cutting our ties with the EU) Meantime Germany desperate to offload its inventory of cars and trucks will do anything to keep the status quo! They'll be employing French hauliers to ferry the forsaken Auto's to us, thus avoiding Covid tests. You couldn't make it up!
