It’s been great to see Brexit Britain starting as it means to go on, with people in Norwich telling their neighbours to “speak the Queens English (sic) or go back where you came from”, and the South Londoner phoning local radio to complain about brown faces on the tills.

I saw a smorgasbord of gammons in the M&S cafe the other afternoon. Nothing to do apart from read tabloids and pretend they are life architects. Amusing and very sad both at the same time.
