05/12/2018 13:13 | ElCap, not so, the Chancellor at the time (Osborne), the IMF, the BofE and the OECD all predicted a recession in the immediate aftermath of a Leave vote. Osborne said that in a speech he gave two days before the referendum! Google it if you want to check. Osborne also said there would need to be an emergency budget. There wasn't of course. All blatant scaremongering. | gettingrichslow
05/12/2018 12:17 | Getting, experience shows that economists are invariably wrong. I have a very simple approach which is ideal for a simple person like me. I add the most bullish forecast to the most bearish and divide by two. Not surprisingly it is normally pretty accurate, and much better than Tombs, the Treasury, etc. Moral. The U.K. only needs two economists, one bullish and one bearish. Put the rest out to grass with their spreadsheets. | brexitplus
05/12/2018 12:04 | grs i dont think anyone said immediate recession. If, and now its very unlikley, we had left the EU it would have been recession THEN. | elcapital2018
05/12/2018 11:57 | The infrastructure managing director has just been shown the door. | zicopele
05/12/2018 11:38 | B+, quite correct, but some people can't seem to see through the propoganda - I suppose if your brain-power only got you into Pontyprid Poly it's hardly surprising you can't understand complex macroeconomics...? | gettingrichslow
05/12/2018 11:23 | getting Tombs is a rubbish forecaster. Like the Treasury he is invariably wrong. The BBC love him because he agrees with their political agenda. | brexitplus
05/12/2018 11:14 | Hilarious! That'll be the very same Samuel Tombs who appeared on Newsnight and predicted an immediate recession and massive tax increases in the immediate aftermath of a Leave vote two years ago! You're so gullible Minny! | gettingrichslow
05/12/2018 11:05 | Samuel Tombs, chief UK economist for Pantheon Macroeconomics said, “2019 has the potential to be a great year for the construction sector, provided a no-deal Brexit is avoided”. “➡ʊ FT Yesterday | minerve

05/12/2018 08:38 | bubloo Your contract note should tell you how you bought the shares ex-Rights or Cum-rights. You will be entitled if you bought cum-rights. you may be in a pickle as, as pointed out by others, you weren't on the register so teh register will need to catch up as your platform wont have been allocated nil paids to cover your holding so yours will appear at a later date | marksp2011
