30/10/2024 14:28 | No I think it’s more the immediate reaction to BR relief on aim not completely being junked. AIM 100 up 4.3% | diviincomesearch
30/10/2024 14:05 | clearly (shareprice) relief that APD tax only going up modestly | cb7
30/10/2024 08:09 | As I suggested awhile back and thereafter was also printed in the press, (so must be true?), there is a likely possibility that APD tax will be increased. | cb7
29/10/2024 21:16 | Until tomorrow, Reeves definitely does. Not all AIMs challenges stem from the BR rumours, but it’s definitely weighing on the market. If there are no changes to BR then this and the AIM market should push on tomorrow. Still the main challenge of outflows from U.K. Equity retail funds hasn’t abated yet. That’s going to continue to pressure the sector. If BR goes, then Jet 2 should have a short term fall, then probably moves to the main market and pushes on from there. | diviincomesearch
29/10/2024 20:19 | I hope you have a good take-off The shares deserve one as well. A reminder that the founder and largest shareholder sold part (5mn shares) of his position in September, raising around £90mn. But he still owns nearly 32mn (15%) worth over £450mn. That is a huge overhang. None of us live forever, I have no idea of his views on inheritance but someone may have to buy that. I can't quite envisage who might be interested but I can't help but conclude that a well-financed private equity company might take the risk at these very low valuations. Or an enterprising broker start to explore possible buyers. A simple comparison with (possibly) similar competitors just looks absurd. None of them are financed half as well, have such a clear and established business model or compete as strongly in the big regional UK markets. It just doesn't stack up. As you all know this is now the largest Aim company by market cap and this is also a factor. But really Ms Reeves can't have this much influence on the valuation of what I think is one of the truly great UK companies, can she? | duckplaudits
28/10/2024 22:02 | I will fly with Jet2 tomorrow. Let's test their services as I'm a shareholder. ;) | hericsaba
28/10/2024 18:48 | Need to be full and on good margins...no point have 100 aircraft at 80% on tight margins. | trying2trade
28/10/2024 17:58 | 100 in the air right now | castleford tiger
28/10/2024 17:55 | Very nice finish | our haven
22/10/2024 17:06 | strong on a weak day | castleford tiger
21/10/2024 13:20 | indeed Leeds was closed for a while tiger | castleford tiger
21/10/2024 06:51 | Fantastic showing from the boys and girls driving around the network last night. | trying2trade
20/10/2024 16:09 | I cannot stress enough how long haul is a minefield I would rather Jet2 did not take on. | trying2trade
20/10/2024 16:08 | Very rare you can get a three route unless they are all short ( Mediterranean routes) You need 6/8 hours per sector. Ex) faro 6 am in at 9 out at 9.45 in at 12.45 out 1.30 ( based on Leeds) Plus you have to look at crew hours that they try and maximise those hours. Then the weather goes wrong and the planners earn their corn Tiger | castleford tiger
20/10/2024 11:34 | CT - certainly in Summer the evening flights to ALC are on their third route of the day which quite often results in a delay. I think now they are doing two. | wilddcw
20/10/2024 09:17 | it rarely gets to 250 during the the summer months, so at this time the numbers must be good 215 Jet2 flights departing on 20/10/24. | scaff55
19/10/2024 17:43 | Toffeeman The fleet is 129 and some of those will always be out of service . The aircraft only ever do 2 trips a day. Often a long route ( canaries) or turkey and a faro/ palma. 217 is pretty much flat out especially as it’s only really private schools on holiday until next weekend. It’s good to see them building the winter traffic with city break traffic Tiger | castleford tiger
19/10/2024 15:31 | >> Scaff 217/129 means less than 2 flights per plane - not great | toffeeman
19/10/2024 09:11 | 217 Jet2 flights departing on 19/10/24. | scaff55
18/10/2024 09:06 | I UNDERSTAND there is a team working on the "long haul development" for the company. This will be west rather than east and Mexico /Caribbean and Florida are targets. This will be a game changer and as its in development i expect to see an offering from 26. Tiger | castleford tiger
18/10/2024 07:44 | Jet2 launch two new destinations - Malmo and Bratislava are available from 9 UK airports: | rivaldo
17/10/2024 16:11 | Flight radar was showing many aircraft flying regular shaped patterns over Yorkshire yesterday, possibly chem trailers creating fog at Leeds. | angus mcoatup
17/10/2024 12:32 | In the grand scheme of things, not the slightest bump in the road. | trying2trade
17/10/2024 00:43 | Yep fog at LBL at midday, live on the flight path but thankfully away in the sunshine, the next update and market realisation very soon | bashor
16/10/2024 20:39 | What happened Leeds? Fog I guess | castleford tiger |
