Hyper impressive that we have not traded below yesterday's close. In light of the stunning performance we had it really tips one off. £15 in very short order from here.

Momentum proceeds price and there is much more to come from JET2 and SAGA in all probability. If not then honour thy stop as they say. Volumes in both indicate a fundamental disequilibrium between supply and demand for their shares. I am amazed that such a crucial variable (volume) which is fundamental in Economics is completely ignored in investing (happy it is so though as otherwise the edge coming from understanding the interplay would disappear).

Smiles all round.
I’m gonna throw my saga shares in the bottom drawer and go look at savings to play elsewhere

Scottish and Snorkel Thanks for sharing your insights on SAGA. This wasn't on my radar until you two brought it up. Just went in as it looks a very good risk reward trade at this stage. Thank you.

Haha - it must be mate. You genuinely caught me off guard there!Sean Connery - what a legend. Can't help but play it in my head his very witty dialogue with Ed Harris in The Rock. JET2 holding like a champ. Can see you smiling for a very long while now. Enjoy it pal!

My dry Scottish wit?
Talking of which
Did you hear what happened to Sean Connery?
Apparently a bookcase fell on his head. He is quoted as saying
“I have only my shelf to blame”

After a day like yesterday nothing is wiping the smile of my face.

Scottish - momentum proceeds price mate and the path of least resistance is up (doesn't matter what happens or doesn't happen today). I still have 1/5 of my original position on precisely for this reason. Onwards and upwards chaps.

Nice one Snorkel - Things looking positive for both Jet2 and Saga.
Importantly for me, both companies treated their customers correctly with their availability and refunds, people remember that.
So having said all that both shares are sure to dip today?? Lol

Scottish, thanks for the reply, yep agreed on the insurance side was always impressed with their competitiveness and service on that, as deal with my Mums insurance quotes.
What I didn't know was anything regarding the vessels and their spec. I did think they where rather small to go into the luxury cruse business but now I understand the niche your talking about. will leave the remaining shares I have for a while longer then.
My Mum has her IPO loss back and made I've a nice lump on top of that happy days anyone would think this investing game was easy..lol
Lets see if this week will run certainly nice volume on Jet2 to suggest a nice level of support going forward.

Van Tam on the BBC clearly excited about the vaccine and others in the pipeline.
If everything goes to plan he maintains the outlook will likely be very much improved by Spring next year. Boris predictably - probably not totally appreciating the science - more cautious.
Maybe we can soon even plan a holiday with the prospect of actually going!

Snorkel - That’s a real tough one re Saga.
Previously it’s been an absolute basket case.
Massive change and vote of confidence with RDH investment.
Insurance side continues to do well - 100 million profit previous. Underwriting will peak through a drop in car claims due to non driving, however travel insurance side will have taken a hit.
In my opinion the massive staff restructuring and subsequent cost savings are yet to be reflected.
Importantly for me though, they have two cruise ships that must be the envy of others, absolute luxury.
1000 person capacity is a master stroke post covid. Not 3-4000 capacity monsters.
It’s worth going onto their cruise page and looking at the quality and prices they charge, also have a look at the uptake. Loyal customer base even without a vaccine.
I’m looking for 400 by next summer and that’s me trying to take account of share dilution.
Update end Jan will be interesting to see the cost of the ships lying idle but then for me it is onwards and upwards.

Senn - Furlough until March so all safe. 👍

The brokers raked it in today. Not many other people did, as access to trading platforms was shut off on an ad hoc basis, to prevent the lowly PI from taking any advantage from the volatility.
