05/11/2020 18:27 | Making profits is never odd mate (but yes - I know what you mean). Huge volumes came in today on JET2. My £10 and then £13 are still intact. Thanks and good luck. | tongosti
05/11/2020 15:06 | All the best with your calls. Been a good time to make profits which feels odd.Always have a keen eye on Jet2, which again seems odd having been an investor for most of the life of the company. | our haven
05/11/2020 14:59 | OH - you know my views on this so don’t want to repeat myself. All I am saying is that 2020 experience should have made someone (assuming he/she is wise enough to learn from own mistakes of course) think twice about they go about it as opposed to attacking folks simply because they feel sore. Anyway, that's the world one lives in these days. Happy to hear you are also making money somewhere else pal. | tongosti
05/11/2020 14:08 | Tongosti. I do not agree as CT knowledge of Jet2 is excellent. He is also invested in a couple of stocks I am also invested in which are going very well.I was like CT, a long term investor in Dart and unfortunately he fell into the trap of loving the share too much and holding on then finally selling. I certainly have made the same mistake myself. I know we are agreed that you've can live with this in a well diversified portfolio | our haven
05/11/2020 13:11 | OH - in my view folks like him best serve as perfect countercyclical tools one can observe in detecting inflection points in the market. Folks of his ilk are long when they should be short and vice-versa. Any wonder he screwed up monumentally with JET2?I have him on filter as he clearly is not one who can learn from his huge mistakes, let alone understand Mr Market. | tongosti
05/11/2020 12:50 | I was pretty sure that there was going to be lockdown2 so I assume the market did too.Furlough scheme extended until March 2021 signals to me that the risk of lockdown3 is much higher in Q1 2021. | our haven
05/11/2020 12:38 | hang on. The market is looking beyond 2021 !!!!! I hope that's rubbish. Then I am sorry but an even dafter statement The latest is just another piece of news which was discounted en masse 6 months ago How the hell did/does the market know we were having lockdown no2 that would be even more severe with a total ban on travel. I just don't buy all this tea leaves stuff | castleford tiger
05/11/2020 12:18 | OH - mine would be only a guess of course but I would think that the market must be looking beyond 2021 (as that is around the corner now). Otherwise I cannot reconcile existing underlying business value with what the market is pricing. | tongosti
05/11/2020 11:49 | Correct Tongosti but how far ahead is it priced? Spring and/or summer 2021 written off? | our haven
05/11/2020 09:47 | When the news is bearish and the price is holding firm there is a message Mr Market tries to convey. The latest is just another piece of news which was discounted en masse 6 months ago. | tongosti
05/11/2020 09:07 | Jet2 has released information for customers who are hoping to travel to the Canary Islands during the second lockdown. With England due to go into lockdown from November 5 until December 2, the Leeds-based airline has suspended all flights and holidays to the destination. hxxps://www.leeds-li | investor73
04/11/2020 19:25 | If we recapture 950 am sure you will change your mind mate. JET2 is now discounting a brighter future way past C19. | tongosti
04/11/2020 18:23 | My tenerife flights are cancelled and will be fully refunded.Lousy for cashflow is this decision, but ethically great.I just can't buy shares in this right now, it's just too risky. My portfolios all about TERN, SNG and IQAI.Today, IQAI went from being my lowest value stock, to my highest. It's still got at least a five bagger in it. | festario
04/11/2020 18:20 | only tiger cub dare buy them!! she is doing very well 105p a share up | castleford tiger
04/11/2020 15:20 | My forthcoming flights to Tenerife and back have been cancelled and £450 refund promised within 28 days. What a company :-) | joe kingl
04/11/2020 15:12 | Unbelievable strength in the share price. Path of least resistance is UP | tongosti
03/11/2020 16:22 | The government would have probably saved the huge loans to support the travel sector if they had sorted out a cheap or free test for travellers and stopped discouraging them from travelling. They should stop the rapid introduction of quarantines when they have only recently opened an air corridors especially for destination regions with lower infection rates than the UK. To travel to Cyprus you need a negative test result before you are allowed entry so what is the problem. | minky
03/11/2020 16:01 | Couldn't agree more. JET2 very resilient. PMI data better than expected across the eurozone. Earnings beating bearish WS forecasts with markets regaining their mojo. Am still out but it looks good at this juncture. | tongosti
03/11/2020 13:08 | holding up well..had my finger over the buy button on Mondays open ..alas I didn't hit the ask..not easy to buy when it opens like that .. But I'm bullish and it's being confirmed in the price..TUI are down a deep hole for a very good reason, whilst being profitable they had a weak balance sheet prior to COVID, dipping into customer deposits. Their debt is big and their overheads crippling. So once this passes and it will, or life as we know it ends, Jet2 will be the number one in the UK, I just don't see TUI coming back from the huge borrowings anytime soon. That's my thoughts and as Tong would say the markets are saying the same. but still fingers crossed count down to the next announcement | snorkelparker
03/11/2020 10:06 | Donald - you're on the wrong board pal. | tongosti
02/11/2020 13:11 | Great track record over the last few years trading Jet2 ... nah not really! | tongosti
02/11/2020 12:10 | Castleford Cub, surely! :) | dab26
02/11/2020 11:53 | “My daughter has had a dabble on the open today with some shares to tuck away”. Castleford Tigress ? | cousin jack
02/11/2020 08:43 | These set backs are the Unknown’s and as such the price falls. To be fair not flying is probably cheaper than operating. The staff will get paid by the Gov for at least another month. My daughter has had a dabble on the open today with some shares to tuck away. I still don’t fancy it as the BOD has no control in government matters. Tiger | castleford tiger |
