Doom mongers are usually those who sold at a loss due to bottle or stop losses, mostly through CFDs and spreads I imagine. Now that's gambling in a market like this!

"bid" people have been waiting for 10 years at least and 6 rumours per annum.

Why no bid when it hit 50p?

Please keep on talking the shares up as it is working then people will buy in and then the market makers make money, lol.

From The Guardian

“A 60% decline in the share price means that bid speculation is bound to resurface, if indeed it ever went away,” said Richard Hunter, head of markets at Interactive Investor. “In any event, at current levels ITV is destined for relegation from the FTSE 100 at the reshuffle next month.”

McCall addressed the issue of bid speculation, arguing that the company is significantly undervalued.

“We have been speculated as an acquisition target for about 12 years, maybe 15, I don’t think there has been a year or a month that passes by that that doesn’t happen so we don’t comment on that,” she said. “We are doing well on our own and the share price is not reflective of the performance of the company or indeed the value of the company. We have very strong foundations ... we have the ability I think to build the business and create value going forward.”

ITV don’t even know what their income stream is for the next 3months in pre planned production so what should anyone else.

Cautious. I listen to all views, inc Deutsche who just upgraded to buy with a new higher target of 120p.

ITV PLC (LON:ITV) was upgraded by Deutsche Bank as shares in some European broadcaster reach “attractive221; buying levels at almost decade lows.

“Traditional media formats including TV and Print have come under significant structural pressure over the past few years as consumers have moved online and advertisers have followed suit.

“However, TV has fared better than its print peers and, with enough content and digital avenues of their own to keep their viewers engaged, should be able to maintain their not-insignificant share of the advertising pie going forward,” said analyst Nizla Naizer in a note to clients on Wednesday.

She said that this slice of the pie is around a quarter of the five largest European markets.

The Deutsche analysts added that she believes the structural pressures caused by the influx of streaming video services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime have been priced into the sector, particularly following the de-rating of shares in 2020.

ITV’s recent share price, having sunk below 60p in March and April, has returned to those lows last seen in 2011, in early August ahead of this Thursday's interim results.

That level makes for an “attractive entry point”, said Naizer, leading to the recommendation being bumped up to ‘buy’ from ‘hold’ and the target price hiked to 120p from 80p.

Hi

Having skimmed through the report and trying not to lol, as always, no matter
how positive some delusional posters find it, lol, lol - I look at the SP, the share price dos the talking for me.

The dividend, anyones guess when it coems back and if/when it does, it could be peanuts.

As I have said for a long time the competititon is not sitting on its hands and new compitition is arriving by the second.

Viewers view the media differently and itv is losing and will lose viewers. The younfg lot ie under 40yrs are viewing via laptops, tablets and mobiles and have other social media to interact with - you'd be luck to get 80p in a bid as only a fool ould pay anyhting like that atm.

Those that are active in the share price made profits but a couple here claimed to boguht "big" just under 70p and dozens here been busy"topping up" since 180p

Free tip to holders and those very optimisitc - please keep on talking up the SP,

ROFL

C7 - may move in sub 40 but not to bothered atm as the second covid wave will take it below 50p for sure - dyor, lol.

The long and the short is I am happy to be invested here as a part of my broad portfolio and you did invest or are invested but don't want to be.
I am going for a walk now, can see 4 huge cruise ships anchored in the sea from my window. Now there's a business to avoid! ;)
Bye :)

Read the report again today. You’re gambling. This isn’t the itv of old. This isn’t a 180p share.
The competition in streaming services is massive and the advertising income is falling away. Recession, recession.
Quoting 90p a few weeks ago is madness, isn’t it?

If the question is which share is more likely to double first from this level? I say ITV.
Which one would you say would double first from these prices?
