Ivan..Anyone can edit their own posts, pity C7 doesn't edit them for grammar and spelling

Some just prefer to avoid the 2014 thread or filter Cautious7.

I will precict that if ITV have a bad interim which is highly likely, or some other terrible news is divulged and they fall again, Cautious7 will be on here saying 'I told you so' as though he is some sort of market Guru.

ADVFN boards are open to anyone and that is where the filter button comes in handy.

One day we may have takeover, but in mean time it is rinse and repeat they take it down then let it fly 54.42p was hitting its low so time to reload till they shoot it down again. This I do not believe is a falling knife company just one with a massif shareholder who is prepared to use his holding to control the share price. Don't borrow to buy shares as time frame is in hands of market.

How bizarre, I'm just reading back through posts and on Sunday C7 mentioned that ITV was £1.80 just a few months back and I corrected him and directed him to a chart of the ITV history in my response to him. But reading the same post from C7 its changed and now makes even less sense. I didn't know you could change the wording of your posts once its up on the board. The ITV price in his post has changed from £1.80 to 80p ??

Seems to me he may be part of ADVFN himself to be able to change a post on here !!

Most Netflix shows are eminently skippable trash – and Netflix just admitted it
Netflix's new fast-forward feature proves the company knows just how boring much of its output is.

All said, ITV is a unique UK business and its share price has fallen to its lowest level since late 2012.

The share price alone makes it an attractive target for overseas buyers, especially considering the pound is not at its strongest against the likes of the dollar and Euro.

If the Dame comes up with a doom report on Thursday, we will see further weakness before any strength. Everybody keeps saying how cheap this is, but it keeps falling...what do I know.

James Murdoch has broken away from Newscorp and reports say he has $2 billion behind him.

I don't know if he or any Murdoch would be seriously interested in ITV, but it's a good story. If true, what a smack in the face for old Rupert who put that $2 billion into young James's pocket.

James is a liberal with small L according to Andrew Neil who worked for the Murdochs for years.

All of it is very interesting, but probably hogwash.

It is a while I since posted here, but I bought some ITV this morning, hope I have done the right thing, but they looked cheap at 54.44p The Sunday Times article didn't really say a lot, recommending 'avoid' at a time when the market has few buyers is a bit rich.

At the start of the year, ITV were still top of the takeover list. Well in the last few months it is now about 60% off it's January price.

Am I catching a falling knife, well we will see on Thursday.

Good luck all.

I added more today & I’m feeling very confident on outcome, ITV is now my biggest holding so it’s either going to send me into early retirement or working till I drop haha.

Ivan, your tenacity is admirable.
Everyone now sees clearly what is going on.
Redistribution of shares as they push the price lower. Those PIs selling must be mental?

Think most selling is tracker fund related clearly about to be demoted from the FTSE 100 in the next review so funds have to sell....

Redistribution of shares from the weak?
As soon as supply is exhausted these will be repriced. That or we’ll see a takeover.
Just wonder how much ITV will be worth. 120p?

So just to re-cap, GS upgraded ITV again from 88p to target price 96p on 25th May 2020 and then went short of the stock again a few days later once the stock hit 90p.

That's how you lose your clients' 40% of their money in two months. Nice work GS, yet another round of client fleecing !

Remind me again in the morning to transfer over to you all my SIPP money that I have worked hard for over the last 40 years so you can 'carefully' manage it.

I’m happy buying shares in ITV at this crazy low price, it be interesting to see if people be adding or selling before Thursday? Don’t forget when Covid hit we dropped to 54p ish & in June bounced up to 90p ish ? We have taken cost cuts like every company which will help & Britbox has over 1 million subscribers in North America alone.
