hi merlin, i only got as far as jj chart records. too many other demands on funds at the time [at 6th form] for many albums.
to save money, we all used to tape each others lps, and make our own, hopefully well mixed, complilation tapes.
i still have a tape deck hooked up to my stereo, earphone out into the laptop. thinking of doing some compilations from utube.
now what did i do with those blank tapes?

OK cheers, I get the picture. I tried a Line6 amp a few months ago - big sound. I think Evanescence use them. The digital stuff is now exceptionally close to the analogue sounds it copies. And generally you get loads of control.
