Good investment Erik.... I bought my first "real" bass (Fender Precision) in 1976 and sold it a couple of years later, I wish I'd kept it now (cost me £220 new).

Merlin, It was an investment and is now sold. I'm no Bruce Foxton of course :-0. Still have my Gibson EBO and others. I used to play in a band with Steve Smith (The Vapors)but he was the man on drums back then. If anyone would like an investment grade Gibson Explorer E2 Walnut, just let me know. Won't be very expensive as not popular yet (except heavy metal trash)
