As some are on a nostalgia trip --

I started with early Stones(old blues rock numbers), got into the Blues via Peter Green playing Supernatural on a John Mayall album, moved on to Cream/Led Zep.In college moved into Floyd/Hawkwind.Off into various classicals.Ricochet- Tangerine Dream popped up.Allman Brothers turned up and of course Van Morrison.Next step back into all sorts of electric blues from Chicago to Texas.Recently discovered Trance and Chill Out.Present favouites Gourella-Walhalla,Chicane,Robert Miles,Claude Challe's Buddha Bar.Still exploring these genre.Oh add AC/DC and Michael Darius - Magic of Politics.

Enough for now.

Some of the more recent stuff I play could have evolved from Hawkwind/Tangerine Dream so not suprising I've drifted into them

This YT clip contains 2 songs both being album tracks the first track runs into the 2nd track which is Ships in the night, but I like the "heavenly home" trac" as well so hey 2 tracks for the price of one..... I like the lead work/sound on Heavenly homes

Bamboo, the 2 BBD I had on vinyl were Sunburst Finsh and Modern Music. Now on CD I have "Modern Music" and the "Air age anthology". I got into them after hearing Ships in the night which I still think is a superp track. I liked Bill Nelson's style of guitar and he still remains underated IMO.

For anyone who cant recall it here it is:

eg chamber of dreams, the track sleeplessness. [not on utube]
bill nelson's red noise furniture music

Living in my Limousine. Bill Nelson.

i got into listening to the beatles through the anthology albums released in 1995 and 1996.

My 11 year old is really into The Beatles ....working his way through his "Beatles Chord Book" ...
He does get daunted by some of the songs ...still, he's sticking at it (with help from You Tube)

lot of posts here!
very interesting to see what others are listening to.
the beatles book i started learning guitar with was the beatles 'complete chord songbook'.
published by music sales ltd.
less than £10 in some places. bargain.
very simple format for non music readers like myself.
a great way to start learning and get some reasonable results in a short time.
will take longer than a day though.

I'm all for a bit of eclecticism, hence my habit of, say, listening to some 70s punk on my way back from the opera!
