29/10/2023 08:32 | I don't hold IQG but I believe 1 or 2 of you have been speaking to me on twitter (@mginvestor) for some time. I think the reason for the decline (btw which I think is unjustified) is that the broker Cavendish has slashed reported & adj EPS for FY23 from 5.1p to 4.4p. You wouldn't know that unless you turn to page 16 of their 20 Sep report where they state: "We note that our adjusted EPS declines in FY23 due to £2.9m of D&A vs £2.6m previously, net finance costs of £0.1m vs £0.0m, and a tax expense of -£0.2m vs +£0.1m." Advice which is applicable to all your holdings - I would recommend investors look at the previous broker note(s) prior to reading the new one because unfortunately at times management don't say anything in their updates but steer the broker to make the changes. This is what seems to have happened here. All the best | mginvestor
28/10/2023 23:42 | Geospatial, you might want to actually use the results as a source. Trading view is automated and is misreading the recurring revenue figure in the interims as the total revenue. | wjccghcc
28/10/2023 19:14 | Put it on semi annual and look at the most recent for revenue Large miss Happy to look at other sources, please put them in front of me Capital letters don’t change the facts | geospatial
28/10/2023 17:56 | THEY DIDN'T MISS EARNINGS. Putting you on ignore until you do some proper research. | p1nkfish
28/10/2023 17:10 | I have to say it appears as though you're acting dismissively in the face of a reasoned, good faith contribution. It's a pity, as there is potential to engage in a good natured discussion where everyone feels included. Instead you're just coming across as defensive and hurt when all I'm doing is talking about things the market knows, the basic things. Earnings misses are the basics, especially for growth stocks. Is anyone else here about making reasoned contributions? Otherwise I'm on the lookout for better forums. | geospatial
28/10/2023 16:22 | You are totally off mark, seriously on another planet. Goodbye | p1nkfish
28/10/2023 14:50 | Respectfully disagree. 25/9/23 there was an earnings report of 724M. The estimate, however, was 2B. That day, on a single day, the price dropped 16%. It has proceeded to drop 30%. Same thing happened to ASX:EGG but over a longer time period. It’s a common phenomenon. Growth investors like to see earnings beats. IQG has been punished like many growth stocks for a particularly large earnings shortfall. So as I said before the way forward is simple. They just need to return to beating estimates, and deals like the one with Tech Mahindra help here. Perhaps also there will be a full year beat due to billing cycles? Who knows. The ASX:EGG drop (pardon the pun) happened after a half year earnings report. The full year report showed very strong earnings. | geospatial
28/10/2023 12:45 | Nothing to do with this. | p1nkfish
28/10/2023 12:15 | It’s similar to ASX:EGG. They didn’t beatestimates. In fact they came in at basically 25% of estimated revenue. No wonder getting killed. The company just needs to make the case why owners should stick around given such a dramatic miss. | geospatial
28/10/2023 10:39 | Looking at the weekly as daily too noisy. Shares outstanding now 61,577,159 after options (15K) vesting in Aug. All #'s approx. 8 weeks since have closed down, 5 weeks have closed flat, 2 weeks have closed up. Last real "up week" was w/c 9/7 - 15 weeks ago. Total volume traded since approx 2.51M (4.08%) approx of which: 457K sale = Ameriprise, 13/7 35K sale = Chapman around 290p 228,394 buys = Kestrel, around 290p+ 3406 buy (noise)= Petti around 290p+ This leaves 1.782M traded outside of the above, approx, 2.89%, largely on the sell side. That % of sells can be reversed quite quickly depending on how the Capital Markets Day goes. Capital Markets Day = 29th Nov. Not expecting any news of wins before then. Will be some resistance on way back but not insurmountable with buying interest. | p1nkfish
27/10/2023 22:10 | Very good news indeed. | geospatial
27/10/2023 20:43 | Dated today. US Gov Energy site. Can't get a better recommendation than this by WAPA on the US Gov site also noting what I recently saw referencing the importance placed on this area by US DOE. Excellent. | p1nkfish
26/10/2023 16:44 | This is indeed great news! Impressed you're so up with it all. I posted about it on Threads. hxxps://www.threads. Tech Mahindra is another Geospatial Index component | geospatial
26/10/2023 12:52 | Yesterday Tech Mahindra (£9.9Bn market cap) thought it worthy to reference IQGEO with ServiceNow (£89Bn market cap) with respect of TM being selected as the partner to transform the OSS stack for an EU-based Telco, a very large transformation program."The solution "consists" of........" Probably using the IQGEO open ecosystem focused on integration and bringing it together with ServiceNow TNI, possibly transformational to map out all existing inventory (assets) with mobile capability for the future. "The solution consists of the entire suite of products from the ServiceNow Stable, including the latest called TNI (Telekom Network Inventory) & GIS solutions from IQGEO, marking the beginning of a very large transformation program." | p1nkfish
26/10/2023 09:02 | 29th Nov Capital Markets Day. | p1nkfish
25/10/2023 23:00 | So how much do they need to grow to justify the ridiculous valuation? We’re looking at a company that has basically never had positive OI There are a slew of network modeling competitors. Some of them big firms. You really think they can’t come up with software that does what IQG does? Can you list the competitors? I can. DSG, GE, HEXA, IKE, MAPS, SU. How are they all performing? What deals? Can’t just focus on this company because price go up. | geospatial
25/10/2023 22:02 | Largest ever, will help increase demand for mobile/field s/w and helps explain Overstory having raised recently, an IQGEO partner, as vegetation management is part of the need. Joint deployment at major US Electric Network operator: | p1nkfish
25/10/2023 21:34 | More GRIP money being allocated that will help drive demand for field s/w. "Wednesday’s announcement of the GRIP Program said, “Funded by the President’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, these projects will leverage more than $8 billion in federal and private investments to deliver affordable, clean electricity to all Americans and ensure that communities across the nation have a reliable grid that is prepared for extreme weather worsened by the climate crisis”." Disaster recovery, resilience and adding more DER to the Grid falls into line with the Adaptive Grid product capabilities. Portland get some cash as at least one IQGEO customer. | p1nkfish
24/10/2023 18:12 | ...and Wil I'll remind you they are still up 60% since you wrote that. We do need to see more in the next few months though. The management team has heen expanded and marketing has gone up so we have to hope that will result in some big wins to justify the growth valuation. | w13ken
24/10/2023 17:45 | I return to my observation when I did my initial analysis: the eye watering multiples this company currently trades at | geospatial
24/10/2023 16:46 | Thanks W13K. They will have taken out some stops and shook a few out, probably smaller holders. | p1nkfish |
