25/9/2023 07:06 | Finncap target adjusted EPS for 2023 has fallen from 5.1p to 4.4p due to £300K increase in depreciation and amortisation over previous forecasts, 100K finance costs and tax expense. A big bounce up expected by end of 2024 to about 7.6p assuming there is no tax hit by a foreign authority, IQGEO currently disputing it. Valuation based on the forward look and revenue reads as growing strongly but the variables will be the increased costs of headcount as they expand further to support the operations and potential tax hit (probably a non-event but certainly a risk). I'm not changing any of my own targets but I don't see them being reached for a while longer without some extra catalyst. | p1nkfish
25/9/2023 06:40 | Let's see if Kestrel step up to the plate now they can again and at what price. | p1nkfish
25/9/2023 06:22 | Non-recurring revenue tripled - hopefully a sign of increased embedded ARR going forward as the non-recurring could largely be services needed to achieve adoption - data cleaning, set-up, integration etc. Can be a barrier to the OEM changing again in future as the NRE is spent and they won't want to do it again in a hurry. £7m in the bag uptick vs H1 2022. "Total order backlog (orders won, revenue not recognised) as of 30 June 2023 was £28.0 million (H1 2022: £21.7 million) with the growth being due to increased order intake." Steady as she goes, 2024 still looks like show-time. Care needed with the cost base. Tax dispute - exposure needs to be clarified, related to sale of the RTLS division, hit may be zero, may be "£x" - TBD. | p1nkfish
24/9/2023 16:22 | Ah yes, results tomorrow, Investor Meet Weds... Nice numbers above pf. | w13ken
24/9/2023 12:38 | If we don't break and stay above 315p for end of 29th Sept given we know the results will be good then we are range bound in all probability. If the catalyst of the results tomorrow don't do it with such a tightly held share then I don't know what will outside of news of a decent sized Electric Grid application win. Grid news that infers traction in the market bigger than fiber could light a fire under it as it means IQGEO have really arrived. | p1nkfish
24/9/2023 12:34 | My only concern is a big holder reducing into a price rise. Including the week of the peak price (about 10 weeks ago), since then about 1.672M shares have traded hands - about 2.7% of issues share capital. Approx average 167K/week. More sales than buys. Average price something very approx to 292p over the period. So 97.3% of the shares have remained in strong hands or those looking to exit higher. A fair amount of traders would have sold once news hit on the TU and others would get bored. Those shares were partly mopped up by Kestrel (168,444) at > 295p. Just over 10% of the 1.672M and they had to stop on 25/8 before results due on September else they may have taken more. Petti added 3406 at about 299p, Chapman sold 100K at about 290p Fairly average churn after such a good 12 months and still vast majority of stock in strong hands and the strongest of them all (Kestrel) has been adding at above the overall average price. Tomorrow should be an interesting read, we know most of it already. New money needs to come in. | p1nkfish
24/9/2023 08:17 | Tuesday's forward look will be key. Can IQGeo expand beyond the niche awareness it has at the moment? There's definitely been an acceleration in their software offering and marketing in the last year since acquiring Comsof so the building blocks are in place. I hope that we see a definitive break above 300 this week. | w13ken
24/9/2023 00:33 | Close above 315p by end of next week (and hold it for Friday close) would get the price through resistance. Will any seller swamp buys? | p1nkfish

21/9/2023 06:34 | Nearly 3 years since the news below and now Network Manager Electric is segmentized and Adaptive Grid out there should be some traction starting. Services 160 US utilities - Utilisuite is the brand name. | p1nkfish
20/9/2023 22:30 | Can easily imagine a Schneider or Siemens type making an approach to IQGEO before it gains much traction in Grid sales, whilst cheap enough. | p1nkfish
20/9/2023 20:51 | I think about 50% of the 2nd list and 3 of the first list. A quick check so no guarantee of accuracy. | p1nkfish
20/9/2023 19:22 | Are those all "existing customers" pf? | w13ken

20/9/2023 08:35 | Also no coincidence it's Connected Britain today and tomorrow. Will generate some interest and cause a bit of a stir. Sensible marketing and news release timing. | p1nkfish
20/9/2023 08:20 | No coincidence they took on the GE sales, Mike Quarmby. Likely more conversions from GE somewhere in the pipeline. Forward look in next week interim will be interesting. | p1nkfish
20/9/2023 06:51 | Indeed, especially to have ousted GE as the incumbent. | mighunter |
