18/5/2024 11:59 | Despite the recent rise I think it is premature to celebrate and add. Profitability is still a mirage and opening a position today is a bet on IQE ability to turn its fortune around. I will be looking at any rns' and TU's. I'm gutted I may be missing out at current level but better to be safe than sorry. The risk is still too high in my view. | alotto
18/5/2024 11:31 | VERY INTERESTING IQE CEO Americo Lemos – speaking to CNBC reporter Megan Cassella on the importance of compoundsemiconducto SUPER to see little old IQE’s CEO chosen by US CNBC to comment albeit briefly, this is the sort of positive PR that we all crave for. The comments of the director of the fund makes about a apportioning the rest of the $6 billion are positive, makes me much more optimistic about our US facilities particularly North Carolina getting some nice funding AND very nice recognition. Perhaps many more US investors will soon become aware of IQE ✅ that will do the share price no harm at all. S | sweenoid

17/5/2024 14:10 | I have been reading Sweenoid posts for many years. To be honest he is by far the most interesting poster on here in my opinion.. He may be a touch arrogant at times but that's acceptable when he is as well informed as he is and usually right.Xylos | a0469514
17/5/2024 12:57 | Sentiment and looking ahead but also the fact most markets are at an all time high has helped imo. I would imagine for the share price to move much higher than mid 30s some concrete news of revenue growth will be required. I’d add that if Nvidia easily beat estimates next week (with expectation's high I would say they need to beat by 10-15% minimum for this to effect the market positively) and guide up significantly for the next quarter, then we may see that mid 30 level. Sweenoid is almost certain that will happen and I would be surprised if Nvidia didn’t easily beat but because expectations are now so high around them and AI, any of the important companies that disappoint in this sector will likely see a large sector fall as the lofty share prices are pricing in everything | longtallsally
17/5/2024 12:43 | Happy to see the steady climb up. Not sure on what it's based. Sentiment? To close in the 33's or above would mark a milestone for me. Half tempted to buy a few more. | ardent8
17/5/2024 09:31 | I always buy low and sell high, just like sweenoid | mw16
17/5/2024 08:13 | I don’t think anyone is dismissing the potential or about to shoot you 😉 but to keep repeating IQEs marketing hashtags and take anything from it other than this is IQEs marketing is puzzling. It is what it is. Will there be a July TU to show the marketing and potential is starting to turn into increasing revenue? That’s what’s going to drive the share price higher after all 🤷🏼 | longtallsally
17/5/2024 07:48 | The ‘rhetoric̵ As applications like #ChatGPT increasingly strain data centers, the ability to rapidly process and transmit vast amounts of data has never been more crucial. At the forefront of innovation, our industry-leading photonic solution—a 6-inch indium phosphide high-speed laser platform—is specifically designed to meet this growing challenge. This technology enables data to be transferred faster and more efficiently, setting new standards in the field. And What comes to mind when you think of your favorite smart devices? Perhaps it's the smart home surveillance cameras, your safety-enhanced connected vehicle, or the lights in your home that automatically turn on and off. All of these conveniences are powered by cutting-edge hashtag#sensing technology, a field in which IQE has been a leader for years. This technology is pivotal in enabling applications across various sectors, including autonomous vehicles, healthcare, 3D facial recognition, and security. It acts as the eyes and ears of technology, gathering extensive data that enables AI to make decisions or perform tasks almost instantaneously. This is the foundation upon which the future of AI will be built. | sweenoid

15/5/2024 09:19 | Does anyone have a better understanding how CFDs are worked in this case. Given that it's sitting as a net addition to his holding and there has been a conversation from shares to cfds, I can only think this means they are being held with the aim of gaining from an increase in value, else wouldn't they be showing as a sell? As you can tell I don't understand derivatives well, despite trying to read up. | samed1
