sweenoid - assuming a link's trustworthy, easier just to delete the hTtps bit altogether & to start it with www.

That way ADVFN won't block it.

My share info
Go into edit for your posts to put the correct link in - delete the https and put in hTtps NOT https and the link will magically work

And by the way Nvidea will almost certainly beat expectations and give yet another bullish outlook in their next earnings. Everything and everyone is totally focused on AI and they are the kings and way ahead of peers, this is of course great for IQE. All IMHO AND DYOR

33.5 is our next huge and likely to be very testing resistance point - just like 26.5p was, fingers crossed for an announcement or two to keep momentum going certainly the chart is looking better than for a very long time

The hardest part of investing is knowing when to sell, finding shares to buy to make a profit is much easier than timing getting out

My guess is Nvidia will continue to defy gravity for a while.

Which will make its eventual - and IMHO inevitable - crash landing even more spectacular.

Yes I think the sector has paused for breath until the NVIDIA earnings. Can they continue to outperform with such lofty expectations…Be interesting to see

Nine days until Nvidia report earnings, which will decide the next movement pattern for the wider semi index and whether the frenzy around AI continues in the short term.

Barclays take the average of the 3 broker's figures. I suspect they do this for all shares. Not checked.

Well I think we can confidently say that if IQE cannot generate more than £200m in revenues and a few million in profit by 2027 (given the trends that should align in their favour) then they are broken as an investible company. Americo is confident, Barclays and the other analysts their figures are based upon clearly not (as their 2026 revenue prediction would almost require Americos 3x happening in the space of one year from 2026-2027) but then as Lords will tell us, analysts are often totally wrong…

Main change is losses have been forecast higher for next 3 years by about 2m a year. The overall revenue trend is the same.

Gentlemen. I'm with you again having bought back half of my original holding a few days ago. For the curious I sold at 29.07p and returned at 29.27p.

Part of the justification for reinvesting is that unlike in previous years IQE is now seemingly led by a dynamic CEO who is focussed on delivering. Mr Lemos has handpicked key people from GF and elsewhere to share the journey. The R&D is world class and the partnerships bode well for success. This is not to detract from Dr Nelson's excellent achievements but one just has the sense Mr Lemos is the more savvy businessman.

Am very happy with my stake in IQE. Inevitably there will ups and downs but am confident for the medium/long term. Best to All.

Americo has stood by his 3x commitment since Apple canned the iWatch Micro Led project and I think the lions share of this GaN revenue increase wasn’t likely to be coming from Micro LED. However IQE and their currently small partners could quite possibly hold the key to delivering the technology to make it cost effective later this decade.

Interesting article re micro LED, which shows that mass production is likely pushed back to the end of the decade at the earliest due to the technological issues to make it cost effective. Not new news as such but this website has excellent articles all specific to the micro led market and is worth a read. No doubt the future is micro LED still, just about timing.

sweenoid - interesting info, thanks.

However, that green tick at the end suggests you’re not “just the messenger”.

Why add it if you’re genuinely trying to be neutral.

Current trends in consumer device display technology are driving the need for extremely small, highly efficient microLEDs. As consumer demands for higher-quality, more durable, and energy-efficient screens grow, microLED technology promises revolutionary advancements for various applications—from smartphones to giant billboards.

🌟 Join IQE’s Mark Furlong at Display Week 2024, where he'll present "CMOS Compatible microLED Epitaxy for Display Applications" during Session 60: MicroLED Epitaxy. Catch us on Thursday, May 16, from 10:40 AM to 12:00 PM at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, Room 220C.

Mark will share insights on:

⏺ Our breakthroughs using Ge for red microLED epitaxy and our collaboration with Umicore to develop the platform for these applications

⏺ The introduction of our next-generation 8” RGB reference epitaxy, reducing time to market for display level product qualification.

⏺ How our expanded microLED foundry services, including GaN technology, are set to meet escalating industry needs

The reference to UMICORE is interesting as I think it’s new but it’s definitely related to this

And
which references IQE

AND OF COURSE IQE’s announcement

Of course IQE’s strategic microleds partner Porotech are also at Display week next week ✅👏
