24/7/2019 09:20 | What’s called a ‘PR Thunderstorm’ in the business. It’s a monsoon!! Shorts: “Leaning against a wall of rain Aerial held high Calling ‘Come on thunder, come on thunder!’ Then he crumples Drops into the gutter Cut strings Legs twitching The flood swells his clothes Delivers him on I swear I can hear the sea.” | knackers
24/7/2019 09:13 | Contract extension would be an opportunity to tweak T&C's, so I hope Tim Pullen ensured we don't have to stand the cost of ordered but unwanted stock - as we have in the past. I found it curious yesterday, how share price went up and then kept increasing through the day, normally you see a big jump first thing then it tails off. I went out in the morn at around 10% up, so was surprised to see 25% up later. I am not surprised at value going back in, but referring to the timing aspect, not say a surge at 2.30 for US markets, but slow and steady up throughout the day. Dave | dr_smith
24/7/2019 09:02 | Wow, what a difference two days and a couple of positive RNS announcements! On Monday it was all doom and gloom with talk of the share price hitting 40 or even 30 p and finance restricting programs but now it’s all sunshine with talk of £3 a share in the future. To break out into the post £1 territory one feels that positive talk must be backed up by real and concrete increased revenue and profit figures with improved prospects over the next two years - then we can really bring out the fizz to toast a happy and prosperous future. | dockenfieldman
24/7/2019 09:01 | I can see clearly now the rain has gone - I can see all obstacles in my way - gone are the dark clouds that had me blind - it's going to be a bright bright sunshiny day. What a great song.So four of the ten new machines at the new foundry are being used for Apple and now they have started production for big android client using another few machines (I suspect) - with wireless demand coming back in Asia - I think we are now getting back on track and maybe the messaging and earlier warnings are part of a cultural shift with the new cfo and maybe under promise and over deliver is the new mantra. If this is the case and once the market believes it, I think the share price will adjust much higher . | boboty
24/7/2019 09:00 | I like the phrase in the RNS "is currently qualifying more than a dozen volume customers". Don't think we ever had a number quoted before. | croquetman
24/7/2019 08:52 | Today's RNS hints more qualifications update in the pipeline. I am expecting more news very very soon. Hats off to the new PR and of course Tim for listening to the market. I am expecting another 10% rise in the share price today. | mhassanriaz
24/7/2019 08:49 | The bad news is behind us this is ,this will be going north from now on! | dickiebird2
24/7/2019 08:46 | it seems we can expect, in 'short' order, a series of rns with orders from quallies and new customers | adejuk
24/7/2019 08:38 | I agree that the big shorters are well in profit. The question in their minds however will be "what is likely to happen from now on?" I can't help feeling that they've made the easy money, the odds favour the share price going up rather than down from here with the new approach to getting news out there, so I'd be trying to make an exit without causing a stampede in their place. | fredfishcake
24/7/2019 08:37 | Incidentally, i genuinely take hats off to the shorts over last year, you saw the bad news and jumped in. Well done! I would like to know how, with latest news RNS his week and the fact all bad results out the way, the huge investment implant for capacity and margin expansion and the likely US China resolution likely at some point, how do you stay short. When the shirts close, and, imho, they are now working out how to, it will literally be a race to the door, sending share price way over £1 very quickly. All investments need regular decisions, hold, close, increase... don't ignore real news, make decision based on facts is the best advise...good luck! | savvy investor

24/7/2019 08:33 | i imagine they're the big push seller today. no worries. they'll have to exit within the next 12 months | adejuk

24/7/2019 08:23 | The Cardiff company’s shares began to motor last year, touching 165p, as it emerged it was supplying wafer It is groundbreaking stuff it won’t be long before all smartphones have facial recognition sensors and driverless cars are using VCSELs to detect moving objects. And since IQE makes most of the wafers that go into VCSELs, its revenues could GO NUTS in a couple of years. CHART ACE | nobilis
24/7/2019 08:17 | I'm not going to retire but I am very pleased. I have had a few weeks of trading a chunk of the shares into another of my holdings ARB, luckily on both accounts I decided the risk on ARB was too high so sold some to buy back here at 56 this week. Also bought into ASOS SDRY FEVR OXB to take some advise about all eggs in one basket. I am left with 73% into IQE and will sit on that for 3 years as this is a £3 stock once foundation numbers from the large customers flow and people see they are only going upwards. When the market knows and believes it will be too late to buy at these sub £1 levels..the apple purchase if part of Intel also shows there could be interest in one part of IQE portfolio without needing to sell the whole crown jewels. So much to like here! Good luck all. | savvy investor
24/7/2019 08:17 | SnF - no such thing as certainty. The closest I get to it is that long investors can lose max 100% but shorters can lose a lot more. Time to place bets. My bet is that some shorters have been caught with their pants down but they have been very smart over the last two years. Greed can catch many of us out. I would have cashed in already if I was shorting. | doc1975
24/7/2019 08:16 | Wow, so much for ‘serial under deliverer’ & ‘one trick pony’ comments. This news should be good for 100p ! | picobird
24/7/2019 08:14 | Really good news again today. Maybe we will hear about additional machines being ordered at Newport to satisfy this new demand and an updated trading announcement detailing new and improved revenue projections. | dockenfieldman
24/7/2019 08:11 | A another nice announcement but nothing that wasn't expected. Mm's happy to run it up and sell into the relief but the situation to me at least is still uncertain. Profit and cash the issue not turnover. Resistance at 75p - let's see what happens from here. | suffersnofools
