Totally agree.

Rule #1, do not feed the troll
Rule #2, if in doubt, refer to Rule #1.

Diplomat,

I think it depends which platform you are using for viewing. I believe links posted on the mobile app work with or without capitals/spaces etc. Links posted using a PC are blocked using case sensitive filters. Capitalising one or more of the 'http' will get around this.

That http link works for me without capitalising one of the t's

Hi RegasYes, one small step for man but a giant leap for IQE.I remain cautiously optimistic of a similar performance next week. Unfortunately at this rate I'll be long gone before I see myself break even. Still, could be worse, we could have been in TCG today. Cheers.

Hi fluke, our hoped for comeback unfortunately failed to materialise. We've only had one 'BLUE' day in the past 9-trading days, but this week, believe it or not, 'we' finished the week 0.40p UP.

Total number of shares changing hands this week amounted to a paltry 4.4m. Institutions buying and shorters closing? Can't see that myself.

By the way fluke, Angela Merkel was seen shaking again this week for the 4th time. A spokesperson is reported to have said that there is no truth in the rumour that Angela bought shares in IQE when she read that they were 'cheap as chips up to 165p' and was now getting a little concerned. Obviously she's no fool.

I hope that Angela makes a swift recovery and I wish the same for our share price. Bottoms-up!

Like what? ;-) it didn’t work

Off topic - just spent a few days doing some ‘culture’ in London, as part of that visited the Edvard Munch ‘Love and Angst’ (there was a LOT of angst!, wonderfully moving too) exhibition at the British Museum ( magnificently curated) . I spent 5 minutes just looking at ‘The Scream’ ...reminded me of this BB

;-)
Have a good weekend

EDIT - just seen this which is encouraging

This will ease Sweenoid's pain:"If you just put a space in front of the URL in posts it will post properly with a link. No need to capitalise the http bit.Like thishttp://www.advfn.com "

"trawling posts from 2 years ago, what a sad existence !

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" -End-

It is a snippet from a post that sf5 very kindly/sensibly brought to our attention for which I thanked him. The post was/is bristling with information showing how 'we' are 'THE' world leader in everything we do. Don't you like to read that sort of thing?

I suggest that if you have nothing sensible to say, just join your mate 'Yawn' and go back to sleep!

A snippet from a post on here almost 2-years ago to the day. Read on:

"As for the VCSEL market where the IMS confirmed MULTIPLE, MULTI-YEAR contract wins, we simply have the best technology, 18 MONTHS AT LEAST IN FRONT OF THE COMPETITORS, the barrier to entry for competitors even when they are at last able to offer 6inch wafers ( IQE are THE ONLY COMPANY that can do this) will be very very high. 6 inch wafers offer huge advantage in terms of production and efficiency and performance. Finisair are likely the next with a 6 inch wafer but they won't be able to produce enough volume for 6-12 months AT LEAST ( read their reports-I do) by that time they have to go through validation and evaluation ( takes months and months), serious competition is coming but in investment terms it's light years away." -End-

"At least 18-months in front of the competition - competition in investment terms 'light years away'" - sounds great!

But, we're now 2-years on from there and the share price has more than halved [130p down to 60p]. Does the above still stack up? Is the competition still way behind us? I'm just asking the question. Please reassure me.

This market is not that small: ams estimates that the entire global automotive industry will need 22 billion sensors by 2020 - in just one year.

I think we need to get away from the thought that FACE ID alone equals IQE wafers!

As Pico just mentioned AR will mean the same end result for IQE, these phones will not be devoid of IQE’s tasty wafers going forward, this is only the start of the trend for security and cameras that rely upon IQE.

We know APPL to be going the AR route for 2020/2021 & those cameras (world facing) need VCSELs.

Not good news if true, though FaceID always struck me as a hugely complex solution looking for a problem. Still, it should allow other phones to differentiate, and reduce our dependence on the poisoned chalice....

Tom you definitely need to go to specsavers. No offence. AMS rose 10% in 48 hours. Please don't tell me what I need to do. Use filter. I don't report to anyone neither I like to please anyone.

mH we are on the same side, long, but how is 1% flying?

Better to step away from the keyboard surely than type nonsense?

I doubt much will happen with the share price until the autumn now.
