25/8/2017 12:17 | Many got mugged on the last sell off, these will soon be over 200p this autumn, I would have thought on the radar to an overseas predator, especially with the currency favourablity | ny boy
25/8/2017 12:01 | Here's the relevant (IQE) section from the BluGlass article. I'm posting it for information and also to knock the Time To Sell post off the top of the page!!Giles Bourne: The foundry essentially, we've got are three reactors that we use for research and development, but they're not always operational for research and development. When we do deposition on those machines, the materials have to be taken out and characterised and then the machines are then down. And so when they're down, we're using them for actually doing production runs for customers. So we've got a number of customers who use us to do small production runs, really prototyping and proving up some new concepts they have. And we do that for a fee for service. And why do we do that? Well there're a number of reasons why. Not only is the revenue nice to have for the company, what it does do is get us working on real live customer problems. But I think most importantly, the foundry business for us develops really interesting future collaborations. So the foundry business is absolutely core to what we do, in not only delivering revenue for the company, but developing these interesting collaborations for future opportunities, for our technology.Jessica Amir: Can you elaborate on the work that you're doing with IQE, the UK semiconductor foundry?Giles Bourne: We were doing some contract manufacturing for them and now it's a full-blown collaborator. Now IQE don't make consumer products, but they do, do large-scale volume manufacture of compound semiconductor materials. And we're now working on a project with them, which is really applying our technology to non-LED applications.Jessica Amir: Last question now and being a bit more specific about your pipeline. Where do you see BluGlass 12 months from now? | diplomat65
25/8/2017 11:54 | Toptrump, it would be helpful if you could quantify what you mean by 'overblown'? Plenty of evidence has been put forward, numerical and otherwise, to support a strong growth case for the company. Based on growth estimates, the share price is about where I would expect it to be. Some optimism is baked in, yes, but it is not running ahead of itself too much. Given the prospects across various sectors, and the general consensus that we are at a point in time where companies are ready to use CS for mass-market applications, it's difficult to see anything but strong growth over the coming months and years. What do you consider the fair share price to be, and based on what evidence? What are the numbers to back up your assertion that the Share price will fall? Or are you basing your prediction on 'feeling' and opinion? | chessmaster10
25/8/2017 11:18 | I am not sure if this has been posted before! IQE has been mentioned at the last part of the interview hxxps://www.finnewsn From an interview with boss of Australian company BluGlass, Posted elsewhere by 'Fullbright' | hjs
25/8/2017 09:48 | I wont be overly concerned Marshall Wallace running scared made £25m from clln in the last few weeks and multiples that depending on where they shorted from .... They hold many short interests in various co. It is climbing as shorts are increased. So buyers are winning. Their objectives are different from holders obviously. | scamper
25/8/2017 09:43 | Or was it this one same day: FYI Too much NOISE here for me,over exuberance in bear and bull 1-2 line posts makes painful reading, also I am not interested in who is buying or selling or prophesying doom or glory. Wise men tell you what's going to happen before it does, muppets comment when it's happening. I am aware that quite a few readers would be 'concerned' if I suddenly disappeared without warning, so I will give notice that this will be my last post until Interims or the day or so before. Since I have no intention of selling any of my holding till it reaches far higher levels, day to day movements are of no significance to me, therefore I won't even be looking at the share price for the next few weeks :-) . I have not sold, am going nowhere , but I WON'T be here. I have also become increasingly aware that my posts have become too numerous and rather repetitive, Almost the worse offence in life in my book is to be a bore, so I am taking a break. But I do LOVE the cartoons , well done skinny S | big7ime
25/8/2017 09:42 | Don't post that again, last time the share price tanked afterwards lol | big7ime
25/8/2017 09:34 | Galatea99, rivaldo... you're right, it seems the Canaccord update is 'old news', and Mr Sweeney was (as always) ahead of the game. My bad! | chessmaster10
25/8/2017 09:24 | Posted by Dave Sweeney, August 16: Another trading day approaches, what can we expect, exciting innit :-), I think 150p might be a hard nut to crack, 'round figures' like 50, 100 and 150 have psychological implications-are 49 or 99 run scores in cricket, so much worse than half-centuries or centuries, you bet they are ;-) ...it's only a matter of time though before it's passed. Yesterday our joint house-broker issued an updated share price target of 180p, its a short -1page, succinct and delightful read, it has a completely ridiculous, but fun title, Lu-momentum, a play on words obviously as it's premise is based almost entirely on information gleaned from the recent Lumentum results and CC. I can't give you all the details, to be honest, frankly it reads like one of my more upbeat posts,in fact if you have been paying attention , and I know you have from your kind comments, then the whole note, mirrors what I have been arguing :-) ?I was delighted that they have done the same calculation as I did on our potential H2 VCSEL income. I calculated a very conservative £13million, worse case scenario ( based on researching all the parameters available) , Conacord forecast £15 million :-) , they then make the startlingly obvious statement that FY 2018 will be at least double that AND THEN SOME, with the increase in the volume of 3D sensing enabled smartphones, it's obvious Conacord believe all the other top-end smartphone vendors will follow suit . The only constraint for the 3D sensor OEM's is the supply of VCSEL wafers and their ability to manufacture enough modules, going from zero to multi-million demand literally overnight, a WONDERFUL issue for them and us! The key point they make is what I have been emphasising - the simple point that growth in this market is going to ACCELERATE through 2018 into 2019 when other applications for CS kick in. Once again they emphasise that the other important revenue earners -GAN on silicon, DFB lasers , RF GAN , GAN Power, wireless filters, NIL add in and further accelerate earnings , obvious to us, but maybe news to new potential buyers. In summary a very optimistic bullish picture is presented with plenty of room for upgrades along the way. The other and perhaps more important key take away for me is that Conacord feel that a peer group methodology of valuation for IQE, is pretty meaningless. They believe the company could double earnings in 2019 ( :-)) and IQE's business model is UNIQUE and can sustain a higher PE due to its growth and earnings potential. Just like the other analysts they will wait till results to change earnings forecasts. I said multiple times from 40p, that if a stock doubles in price, it does not necessarily become expensive, it is just less cheap. The last 3 notes have been characterised by the obvious excitement of the analysts about the GROWTH potential for IQE, kickstarted by the Apple phenomenon. The UK desperately needs a technology company that is homegrown to succeed. If it is recognised I feel British investors will flock to it. IMG is going to be sold in bIt parts to whoever:-(, ARM are now a Japanese concern, IQE offers the opportunity for a Welsh ( sorry a British company) to take the world stage, especially with the expanding semiconductor cluster around it in Cardiff and Newport.Slowly at first but now progressing with greater momentum the investing community is taking notice of IQE, but for many it's still a secret...but not for much longer. It's obvious that my 'cheap as chips' price has to go up, my target remains 250p - conservative, but it's cheap as chips to 165p .... And I have been spot on since 20p S | galatea99
25/8/2017 09:21 | Canaccord, 180p: [...] | galatea99
25/8/2017 09:20 | It may be snakeoil but it seems semis are about to start another massive uplift in demand!. -------------------- Demand for smart speakers is expected to help spur what Nomura describes as an "unprecedented super cycle" for semiconductors, in particular dynamic random access memory, known as DRAM. The chips are used for servers powering cloud computing and artificial intelligence, which underpins speech-recognition software. from: | colsmith
25/8/2017 09:18 | So funny though that fool.co.uk also show articles listing iqe as a 'millionaire maker' haha. Let's just all shut up and see what happens over next 4months | ojh2kent

25/8/2017 09:10 | Motley Fool's Edward Sheldon has posted an article about IQE headed: "I tipped IQE plc as a stock to watch in January, but wouldn’t buy it now" Among his reasons he gives the lack of a deal with Apple. He Says: "Moreover, rumours that IQE technology will be featured in the soon to be released Apple iPhone 8 have clearly boosted demand for the stock. A deal with Apple could be a game changer for the company, however, no formal announcement has been made yet." Perhaps he is not to hot on research. | daijavu
