Sweenoid, do you have any info on the status of NIL, is it ready to go? Presumably it would need customer qualification etc. Also noting the project to commercialise with CST Global which doesn't appear to have completed?

Saw the reference to Marlborough holding IQE in their Special Situations fund on another thread. Not true according to their latest factsheet showing top 10. As at June of this year (from their HY report) they weren't holding any IQE position.

Yes sheep but also the more casual observers. I think there may be a better understanding of software than hardware among the investment community. It was only a casual observation. Nice period of consolidation going on. Should be plenty of headroom should results give positive information on the future

I understand we are the biggest holding in Marlborough special situations fund which is one of the best performing funds over a long timescale so they must have cottoned on I guess

I'm "the market" - I've not cottoned on - dont really understand it. I've just got dragged along by everyones enthusiasm - which is basically the bellwether test of a good stock - happy investors.

I don't think the market has a clue what IQE does. There may be a perception that we are IMG mk II and our future is down to apple, but the lack of understanding is imo creating a great buying opportunity as those with vision see the near future for the company

Thanks to contributors re China mobile news -just to give that some 'colour' for those that don't get it .Nice to see the slow down in China related to long haul metro get a nice lift last night :-). The transition from 2.5G PON ( literally being abandoned) to 10G and above, is gaining pace. Isn't it wonderful that IQE is NOT involved in 2.5PON but via its NIL IP is targeted firmly at 10G :-) :-) remember at 10G the holographic etching of wafers is not as effective and has cost implications.ALL the suppliers to 2.5 G use holographic techniques and will have great ifficulties scaling that up :-) NANO IMPRINT LITHOGRAPHY ( NIL) then potentially becomes a very big player. We supply most of these guys and of course Macom which also spiked



As in Macom above , it is showcasing a lot of its IQE enabled kit in China soon, remember, their CEO John Croteau kindly and without solicitation told me in an e-mail recently IQE are central to Macoms Indium Phosphide business ( READ CLOUD DATA CENTRES- the HUGE CASH COW FOR IQE for years to come, 100G is nothing , as soon as they are done with that they will HAVE to go to 200, 400G and so on , it's a beautiful virtuous cycle for us)
