Pre market trades generally take place between 7:15 am and 8:00 am. I believe that they include an auction between mms and possibly other market insiders.

My source is the Morningstar website. They post both pre market trades and after market trades. About 15 minutes after the trades take place.

There are probably other and better sources but that is the one I use. Anyone can access it and it's free.

Thank you sweenoid; glad you like the language. I have in the past worked with a variety of campaign groups - colloquialising data for them. Pulling together masses of technical data and condensing it into phrases usable in street leaflets ;-)

Grabs tear-a great explanation in clear easy to understand language. I concur, I believe Marshall Wace must be long as well, as for their 'reaction' come results day, I can only see it going one way ;-).....with the proviso that the share price does NOT get ahead of itself before Sept 5.
I would much prefer it stay as it is till then

Marshall Wace & Ennismore are now short 22m shares between them. They must have big balls if they're gonna keep that exposure over results day.

Re IQE's NIL -nano imprint lithography. I am pleased to say that IQE responded to my questions, basically IQE only relies on patent protection where it is clearly possible to police if and when there has been a breach of that patent. They say that in many cases, the very act of publishing a patent application may disclose know-how that cannot be adequately verified and enforced and could therefore effectively disclose IP that is better protected through other means (including strong confidentiality policies and procedures).

This seems entirely sensible and leads me to conclude that 'our' attempts to permeate the 10G PON ( passive optical networks) metro long haul markets highlighted in yesterday's China Mobile news will be full-on , as outlined in my previous posts, NIL offers SIGNIFICANT cost and efficiency benefits over the incumbent 'etching' process, exclusively carried out by holographic processes:-)

In any event, the patent process can take a long time, particularly for worldwide patent coverage.

Interestingly patent applications are available in the public domain and anyone can search the World Intellectual Property Organization's "PATENTSCOPE" database ( for the status of filed patent applications. Have a look after entering IQE PLC :-) , it's very encouraging to see the cREO patents issued recently for our cREO IP ( which will add to the extensive patents already acquired by Translucent, who we are buying this technology from) ,these will be targeted for IQE's entry into the extremely lucrative RF filter market

On a separate note and related to the massive expansion of data centre provision , here is Apple's latest addition , it's absolutely massive....and will be jam packed with IQE's Indium phosphide :-)

Happy days
S
Ps don't think you guys will ever let me forget good old Malcom :-) :-)

All these companies writing these reports, are just trying to profit from the climb of IQE. I bet you they all copy comment from our experts in this thread ie sweeniod, whom we all thank for his extremely valuable research and input.

Arcadian,

I think maxwellsdemon would most probably agree with you about Big7's plagiarism (see max's 5034 post).

A blatant C&P by Big7 of maxwellsdemon's previous post, with no credit to the author!

TBH, I think that's pretty damn poor.

Be fair to Big7.

They may not be his sentiments; he is good at plagiarism so his views may belong to others and he may yet admit that he got them elsewhere.
