I think there's an army of investors who didn't take a position here are praying the price sells off before the release of I-P8.

I had 50k at 49p and sold for a measly £850 profit. I've watched IQE rise since then with excruciating horror

That was a verrrrry brave move Bamboo in the light of growing interest from the US. However if you pull it off I'll be joining you in another top-up later this morning. I never dreamed of making such a statement when topping up at 18p, or even at my last one at 57p. :0). Thanks again Dave for all the confidence-building research.

for my sins have been listening to Macoms presentation at the Oppenheimer conference
all I wanted to hear about was the GAN proposition as that's US

I was once again losing the will to live with a lot of repetition about their problems with PON and metro long haul - that has caused the precipitous fall in their SP

At last in the last 3-4 minutes, we got the GAN stuff related to $G LTE and 5G base-stations, once again it all sounds so exciting, looks like they 3-4 customers lined up over about 30 programs, once again confirmed all the qualifications have been done, just awaiting that audit on Thursday. Apparently, rivals have been having major problems and issues getting their solutions right- the CEO made the point that once a base-station ( telephone mast for us mere mortals)is in the field, that is it, its there for years it HAS to be reliable, hence all the delays and extended verification and qualification.
Once again I came away feeling so very positive about this GAN business, we now have to sit and wait

Oclaro (OCLR) Trades Near Session High Amid Rumors

Oclaro (NASDAQ: OCLR) traded near a session high mid-day Tuesday after Betaville reported that it is getting close to making a decision on whether to sell itself.

The company reportedly had several indicative takeover approaches pitched at around $13 per share and is working with Goldman Sachs.

At this early stage and the fact that we are not that expensive when considering the potential growth I wouldn`t be surprised by an opportunist bid. I was very disappointed when the Paysafe BOD simply threw in the towel without any regard it seems for the underlying value and potential. I`m sure however that our man would drive a much harder bargain.

PS I added another 5000 today only to see the record show that I had apparently sold them.

"Jefferies analyst, Mark Lipacis, reiterated his Buy rating on shares of MACOM Technology Solutions (NASDAQ: MTSI) but cut his PT to $61 after the company missed the JunQ, and guided below consensus for the SepQ.

The analyst stated "we think it falls into our "Buy the Confession" framework. We think the miss is largely due to inventories in China, and think it is well positioned to post upside surprises off of lowered numbers due to product cycles in 100G components for the datacenter and GaN on Silicon power amps in 4G/5G base stations".

...Good for MACOM and good for IQE.

Looking very strong here towards close- on a side note I've have just Bought in at AST what a bargain - bug news in less then a week!!
