11/8/2017 08:49 | Lurki0. You are right. I did not consider the Trump effect. | daijavu
11/8/2017 08:25 | I was in a hurry yesterday morning and just posted an extract from the below article. But well worth a read, as it ties in beautifully, with IQE's IMS with regard to H2 2017 upgrade and H2 2018. Basically confirming that its all happening as per the IMS. Also has some unit numbers that can be modelled in with the PH note. | poombear
11/8/2017 08:19 | Dai - doubt it. Macro considerations have suddenly taken centre stage. Unfortunately. | lurki0
11/8/2017 08:19 | We have to be aware that the Nasdaq was down 3% last night on geopolitical tensions so this may impact slightly. I think any dip we see today will be due to that rather than being stock specific and will just provide an opportunity to top up. | bocase
11/8/2017 08:19 | One wonders whether, without this geopolitical climate, where the share price would be, I think the attitude towards IQE is definitely Panglossian, long may it continue. The wording on the results RNS was very poor, it seemed to indicate 'investors' could attend the meeting and conference call, it's not the case, this investor has not been accepted anyway :-( I am guessing the IQE team that presented at the Connacord Genuity growth conference in Boston spent a few days doing the proverbial rounds of investors/institutio On the subject of analyst coverage, IQE has had 4 analysts for some time, would be nice to see some 'new kids on the block' especially if they initiate with a BUY. You can't buy sentiment or momentum - this time 18 months ago I was almost the only positive voice here, how times change, even though the story is fundamentally exactly the same. Have a good weekend S | sweenoid
11/8/2017 08:19 | Difficult to believe this is trying to rise despite market correction underway. | fuji99
11/8/2017 07:56 | If the same momentum continues today we could see it above 130. | daijavu
11/8/2017 07:48 | Morning.. nice article there in Apple, in for a strong finish for the week!! A 130 finish would be nice | potential
10/8/2017 23:59 | I don't expect Results will disappoint - but it's the statement accompanying results that I shall be watching with great interest. I imagine that will include some sentences that will be quoted enthusiastically. (I too have filtered Pot. - contributes nothing useful while managing to offend) | grabster
10/8/2017 23:07 | For me this is worth £1.50 now. Whether it gets there tomorrow, the day before results or on results day that's where I think this is heading short term. Based on what the company has said I expect a minimum of 5p eps next year. A PE of 30 is not at all demanding for a company about to enter a high growth period so that gives us a fairly conservative £1.50 a share. If results are particularly bullish and 10p eps looks likely then that's an share price of £3.00 and if 15p eps looks on the cards then that's £4.50 to aim for. Clearly there are risks and nothing is guaranteed but that FWIW is my view. | allstar4eva
10/8/2017 22:16 | Light banter??? Perhaps now, but when it was written?? Unpleasant banter anyway. | aimingupward2
10/8/2017 22:12 | Chaps, what are your views on this being taken out by possibly a big US player or even SoftBank before it reaches its true potential, alternativ | hmt
10/8/2017 21:48 | Some light banter - relax | potential
10/8/2017 21:48 | Sweenoid, I did listen into the Himax con-call and I don't think they Are supplying Apple, my guess is that they are going to supply Samsung and probably the Chinese smartphone suppliers. My view is that IQE are only supplying LITE re iPhone, but will be supplying others as the competition catches up. This is still a huge achievement but I don't see the revenue growth to justify the current share price | lpavlou
10/8/2017 21:35 | Best we filter you out, Potential, if that's your attitude. Demeaning another poster is unwelcome - hopefully to virtually all of us. | aimingupward2
10/8/2017 21:25 | Big7 - there was definitely an audit taking place either today or tomorrow- mate I've got more invested here then you and your caravan is worth!! Big Zero7 would be a better name for ya chum! Peace out.. | potential
10/8/2017 19:01 | TA doesn't work when fundamentals change - nice chart though :) Peel Hunt target share price today 135p | picobird
10/8/2017 19:00 | My thanks also to Skinny for the useful semi-log presentation. Of course another (hopefully pessimistic) way of looking at is that if the share price resumes trend we might see a retrace to 85p before heading up again. I first bought into IQE in Jan 2013 around the time of the Kopin deal. I managed to top-up at 19p before the strong advance began. Having top-sliced a few times on the way up I have recouped my original investment and am happy to run the balance. I seem to remember that a couple of years ago IQE management was getting a serious amount of flak on this board. I'm hoping that one or two other tech shares I'm interested in which are in a similar state now will see the same outcome. Well done IQE! | oldscallop
10/8/2017 18:31 | ^ 2 quid in September? | geheimnis2
10/8/2017 18:24 | More like re-rating. First step towards 220p | berber1
10/8/2017 18:16 | Thank you Skinny. Breaking out of the rising channel usually indicates a retrace back into the channel, ie a drop to the 115p area or below. If so it would be a wonderful top up last chance IMO. But WTFDIK, it maybe just a complete re-rating ;0) | shavian
10/8/2017 17:44 | Excellent of you, skinny, to have displayed this semi-log graph for all to see. I have said on previous occasions that this gives a much better picture than the usual presentation. The recent break out above the upper trend line is so much clearer to see. No accompanying comment from you - it didn't need any. Many thanks. | aimingupward2
10/8/2017 17:04 | yep the ut trades vols | industrious1
10/8/2017 16:56 | Do you mean UT trades? | skinny |
