02/8/2017 09:24 | Big7, joined you in taking some profits this morning, very near to my tp. Will be back. | bamboo2
02/8/2017 09:18 | FTSE100 entry would have certain benefits, but would also necessitate stricter regulation, bureaucracy and nonsense. It would probably be a display of confidence to some larger funds, but the pricing would also have to be linked to the fundamental earnings of the company, so it's not going to magically up-rate without seeing solid profit growth. Thank god, this is actually an AIM company that makes money! Very excited about the next 12 months here, my exit target is £1.85, but that will require a few new big contracts. Also, the idea of a £1bn Welsh company makes me a proud Welshman ;) | luxaeterna1
02/8/2017 09:18 | Having a quote on NASDAQ would, I believe, invalidate the iht concession. Shares must not be quoted on another mkt in order to qualify for iht relief. This is certainly the general rule, though I can't say for sure whether it is absolute and applies in all cases. | aimingupward2
02/8/2017 09:16 | Good question Hammerd2 In my experience there is usually substantial buying prior to a company gaining entry to a more senior market and then continued buying by the many tracker funds out there. Good point too ricatcoatham. Shares held in aim companies can be exempt from Inheritance tax which will also influence the directors decision. | bocase
02/8/2017 09:15 | Hammerd Because AIM is outside of FTSE All Share IIRC. There are lots of FTSE trackers, but few 250 or AIM trackers | mad foetus
02/8/2017 09:15 | I believe that Nasdaq is a recognised market, so a secondary listing here would nullify the iht relief benefit. :( | sammu
02/8/2017 09:08 | Stick on AIM for iht relief, additional quote on Nasdec for further re rating imo. | dozey3
02/8/2017 09:04 | appreciate Sw view as Iqe is misunderstood by many imo | big7ime
02/8/2017 09:04 | mad foetus - sorry, how do you square your 3818 comment "trackers are almost entirely either All Share or FTSE 100 trackers, and the impact from moving to the 250 is minimal" with your 3822 comment (just 4 mins later) "If it moves from AIM to FTSE that will cause an automatic uplift when the trackers buy in" ? | hammerd2
02/8/2017 08:59 | amrish, go to the top left, find the box marked "Search this thread" and type in Apple. | sheep_herder
02/8/2017 08:55 | Great chart action here, imho, the next one likely to follow this sort of price action is (WEY), a great little online education gem, dyor as usual. I have seen stocks like IQE double and treble once they get going, so happy to hold for a few years to hopefully achieve these price targets over time. | ny boy
02/8/2017 08:54 | Hope so! Don't know what happens if it did go for a full listing. | semper vigilans
02/8/2017 08:53 | For a few of the wise old men who have made some serious money in this share it should remain on AIM, It is free from IHT ??????? | ricatcoatham
02/8/2017 08:47 | Can someone advise me why the price movement , just because apply made a statement last night. I didn't know IQE was doing any business with apply, sorry not deramping , just like a straight simple answer. | amrishbhim
02/8/2017 08:43 | The board should wait and go straight for a FTSE 100 listing.....:-) | blueflame
02/8/2017 08:42 | If it moves from AIM to FTSE that will cause an automatic uplift when the trackers buy in. | mad foetus
02/8/2017 08:41 | IQE is aim listed!! | suejarvie
02/8/2017 08:39 | It's still on AIM? | semper vigilans
02/8/2017 08:38 | No they won't. | hammerd2
02/8/2017 08:38 | Bocase,This is a bit of a myth. I have been a director of a company which entered the 250 and asked this question directly of the brokers. Their view is that trackers are almost entirely either All Share or FTSE 100 trackers, and the impact from moving to the 250 is minimal. | mad foetus
02/8/2017 08:36 | What's the price required for auto entry into the FTSE250? The current FTSE250 automatic entry point requires a market cap of £842M. As I write IQE's is £857m, HOWEVER IT IS NOT MANDATORY FOR DIRECTORS TO OPT TO ENTER THE FTSE 250. Should they wish to do so then IQE would qualify if they retain this ranking at the next quarterly review. My guess is that they will opt to do so for the better exposure. This would result in institutional buying. Perhaps that it what we are seeing now. | bocase
02/8/2017 08:32 | oops Fluid3631 Jul '17 - 12:04 - 3725 of 3814 1 0 Sold my position based on director sells. Looking for around the 95 mark for a buy back according to my chart. Lets see. regards Lord H | lord hindsight
02/8/2017 08:31 | mad foetus, BBs are for discussion and banter. There are threads where it's just pure research and they're pretty dry in my opinion. Bit of banter breaks up the big chunks of info and makes investing a bit more of a "human" experience. As Bill Hicks said, "it's just a ride". Enjoy it. | tini5
02/8/2017 08:27 | blimey next stop £1.50 GLA | qs99
02/8/2017 08:27 | What's the price required for auto entry into the FTSE250? | logica2me |
