31/7/2017 07:51 | Mad Foetus - suggest you research the so-called dot.com crash at the turn of the milennium. Globally the tech sector went south practically overnight. The good were taken down with the bad, it was indiscriminate and IQE got swept away with the rest. Fortunately the sector is operating at saner levels today and our company is at the forefront of a paradigm shift in the application of semiconductor technology. BTW don't understand the Putin reference. Must be a generational thing. | lurki0
31/7/2017 07:33 | Tx nw99. Another clear hint to the tech they will be using in the new iPhone! | deltrotter
31/7/2017 07:13 | someuwin - I'd never noticed that tab ! It's fine if you don't get time now I know :-) | hammerd2
30/7/2017 22:35 | MF. Bit of history here. Basically looks like tech bust/loss of sentiment + profit warning. Good job Sweenoid doesn't resort to sarcasm or we'd all be less educated on IQE! | darola
30/7/2017 22:09 | Yes, its the same as clicking the 'Charts' tab at the top of this page. I'll try and make the charts clickable later though. | someuwin
30/7/2017 22:02 | someuwin is there any chance of turning one of the graphs above to one you can click and get various options on it (e.g. share price for a date range) ? The IMG BB has one and it's jolly useful. I'm guessing it's just a case of changing the EPIC. | hammerd2
30/7/2017 21:59 | www.google.co.uk - you should try it, I've heard there's loads of interesting stuff on there and you can also find the answers to all sorts of queries. | hammerd2

30/7/2017 21:12 | 10 years! You'd get less than that for offering a handjob to Vlad Putin. Seriously, I've been here for about 2 months and am loving it, but can someone explain what happened in the early 2000s when the share price dropped from £8 to peanuts? Was it just the tech bust? Are the same management in place now? Not looking for negativity, just to understand a bit of the background. | mad foetus
30/7/2017 18:18 | Lurki0, I too am a 10 year holder and completely agree with you. Long time coming but it's about to happen. | zapa
30/7/2017 17:44 | DD - entirely agree. I've held IQE for a little over 10 years now. The bullish character of that statement was unprecedented for this company. As others have said on this thread since the TU, management has finally begun to disclose to the market that the company's fortunes are about to rise in a massive and dynamic way. The mooted Apple connection is but one facet of a huge picture now starting to take shape. | lurki0
30/7/2017 16:34 | Given the following statement taken from the recent update, does it really matter? "The Group has secured multiple, multi-year contracts for this VCSEL ramp which reflects its strong competitive advantages including its technology leadership and its proven track record in delivering wafers into high volume consumer markets." | desperate dan
30/7/2017 16:16 | We know that Lumentum are going to have s large share of the iPhone 8 3D sensing. Question is are Iqe supplying them or not and will they get the technology to work in time or will Apple defer this feature for iPhone 9 next year? Just thinking about the possible impact if any on the SP? | lpavlou
30/7/2017 13:35 | some good research guys - keep it up | panic investor
30/7/2017 09:25 | Speculation in this article that the iphone 7S and 7S Plus may also come with Augmented Reality: hxxps://www.cnet.com | galatea99
29/7/2017 18:27 | Amazing stuff - just a hint of how big AR is going to be... Sir Peter Jackson’s studio reveals augmented reality demo Wingnut AR, the studio started by Lord of the Rings film director Sir Peter Jackson has revealed its first augmented reality demo. While Google and Microsoft have been working with the technology for several years, this is the first time that Apple has been involved. The company gave Wingnut AR special access to its ARKit - an augmented reality developer kit - to create it. BBC Click finds out more... | someuwin
29/7/2017 11:33 | That's why one should never ever make an investment decision based on reading bb posts ;-).......not even mine! However it's usually, quite obvious in the tone and content of posts whether the poster is Knowledgeable Sincere Duplicitous Or simply, just a giant di*k ;-) Till after Macoms results and not before S | sweenoid
29/7/2017 10:15 | We had one poster claiming £1.40 by september yet sold all his shares yesterday following the director sells!!! | allstar4eva
29/7/2017 10:02 | Perhaps the post was a bit too subtle! Obviously these contracts have not disappeared - directors can sell at any time for any reason. The company prospects have not changed!!! | allstar4eva
29/7/2017 09:48 | Another reason why investing in IQE is a good idea: | darola
29/7/2017 09:43 | "Did the multiple multi-year contracts disappear along with the director sells?" Where on earth did you get that suggestion from? | darola
29/7/2017 09:25 | Did the multiple multi-year contracts disappear along with the director sells? I wanted to add here and it looks like I may be able to do so at a better price in the coming days and weeks... | allstar4eva |
