16/5/2017 19:16 | New highs for MACOM | someuwin
16/5/2017 13:48 | Yump, just the other day we were discussing these kind of things on twitter, anything with the word Energy, Chinese or Resources in the name RED FLAG Then you get the miners - a big hole in the ground usually with a liar standing at the top of it ! | panic investor
16/5/2017 13:02 | IQE must be just trendy atm then - or the others still have original investors swamping the market with shares. Clearly, just being solid with a low p/e doesn't mean the share price will be chased up. Scale is another factor - many solid AIM companies aren't big enough to attract the funds that once in, stabilise the sp, even as the p/e grows to high levels. Once upon a time, Chinese and overseas stocks had 'bargain' p/e's and solid businesses, until they didn't. | yump
16/5/2017 12:28 | EAH even better,yump! | aimingupward2
16/5/2017 12:27 | OT : INSE, VLE, SDI, PEG, SCH, GMAA, RNWH, DKL, WJG, KWS, ACSO, PHD.... there are many, many profitable and sound companies on AIM. I could quote lots more off the top of my head. And many of those trade on single-digit or low double-digit P/E's, with sound Balance Sheets. Those who criticise AIM are imo living in the past world of dodgy natural resource and overseas listings. There are still some of those left, but in the last year or two the quality of AIM has improved dramatically. Anyway, back to IQE now that's off my chest....:o)) | rivaldo
16/5/2017 11:31 | Perhaps its just that there are so few actually making profits, with a solid business in AIM, that all the money is flowing towards them. IDEA, which actually has been growing at 20% for quite a while is now up towards a p/e of 30. It does have multiple customers, repeat revenues and is dealing direct with end customers though - not many of them around. | yump
16/5/2017 11:26 | Can't believe it an AIM stock actually doing very nicely....obviously there will be a pull back at some point, what that point is who knows. 10 day RSI of 50 is not that high. | beeezzz
16/5/2017 11:18 | Well you can tell me its all about potential if you like, or that I'm all bitter and twisted, but quite happy to leave my shares for someone else to have that extra % for the time being. Its now trading above a valuation that shares reach when they have been growing earnings at 20% a year reliably. Thought it might be because of stake building, but no sign of any announcements. At least I didn't kick it when it was down when the kick would look more credible as 'face validity'. | yump
16/5/2017 11:10 | Be quiet Shaun | thereptile
16/5/2017 11:00 | the reptile - we heard ages ago ! ;-) | panic investor
16/5/2017 10:57 | Looking vg boyos Don't tell the English | thereptile
16/5/2017 10:54 | Well what did I say numerous times from 55p 'cheap as chips under 70p' , revised yesterday to 75p ;-) , I love the rise but I woukd quite like a period of consolidation at or around this level A few snippets Our 2nd biggest customer Qorvo are holding an 'investor day' next Thursday, comprehensive programme, I will be looking at their comments on the technologies we provide for them and in particular assessing comments on GAN on silicon. On the same day Lumentum are attending an investor conference and will be speaking for 15mins ( audio will be available) and then taking Q+A which I woukd imagine will focus entirely on its 3D sensing business. It will be 3 weeks further on than the CEO's last comments, let's hope all is going smoothly , he will have to be circumspect in his answers given Apple are the customer , but he will have to respond..should be interesting In the meantime IQE are recruiting in the USA our major production base, and are holding job fairs , this one below and another in Allentown, Pensyllvania :-) I'm off to see Procul Harum....later... 16/5/2017 09:23 | Indeed...sitting back and watching the IQE share price is rather satisfying :o)) | rivaldo

15/5/2017 23:01 | For those that favour the 'black magic' fingers does it best :-) lovely chart analysis of IQE Cheap as chips under 75p ( note the change) I am invested here based on my research and the fundamentals but I totally 'get' why punters want to bet on momentum and sentiment even if they know little or nothing about what IQE does, so for those that like this sort of thing ENJOY | sweenoid
15/5/2017 21:04 | Hi hb, thanks for your chart. Fingers also featured the IQE chart on his thread. The bowl with rim at approx 60 got me interested. Using Bulkowski's stats I calculated a tp of approx min 82.5p. Looks like a potential apex based turn 16/17 May. Will watch with interest, and look to take a few when the opportunity presents itself. | bamboo2
15/5/2017 18:04 | Digital look normally very good accurate figures fwd p/e around 19 Doesn't seem excessive esp as profits could soar | big7ime
15/5/2017 17:38 | Looking at the traded prices suspect that thsoe at 67.5* could be sells rather than buys - Remember the allocation buy/sell is only based on +/- mid price and are not necessariy correct. that said has been an up day. | pugugly
15/5/2017 16:58 | Over 550,000 bought after the close. Probably further up tomorrow then. Still relatively cheap in P/E terms given the prospective growth ahead. | aimingupward2
15/5/2017 16:52 | Huge volumes after the bell! | pubsol
15/5/2017 14:44 | I know Macom are an important customer and thought this might be of interest and a webcast worth listening to later this week. | anaduck
15/5/2017 13:57 | Thanks horneblower, looking good ! | loveder |
