03/5/2012 16:51 | Pleaty Could this have suffered a bit of dilution due to the fundraising of Oxford Nanopore. Would probably have diluted their holding slightly. | peaeff
03/5/2012 16:40 | well, I thought it would finish in the blue. Twice the number of buys, good rns, good interim results expected so not sure why its finished down. Maybe tree shakin to fill an order. Hopefully interim tomorrow or Monday and assuming its positive then may see some large buys before the weekend. | pleaty1
03/5/2012 12:59 | not all the news gets issued on here. tracsis have another big contract ( on ip group website) | pleaty1
03/5/2012 11:16 | two good rns, keeping their 22% with oxford with more funding. unless i read it wrong, both investments are already worth more than they spent. 2 large trades just gone thru. i expect this has been kept down this morning. i think this will close, closer to the 148 opening mark. maybe a sign of the interims tomorrow if the vols are high. if the recent rns's arte anything to go by, it should make good reading. | pleaty1
03/5/2012 11:04 | negotiated trade-thanks | algomas
03/5/2012 10:49 | Negotiated Trade | shauney2
03/5/2012 10:45 | Algomas you're not giving much of a clue as to the context in which it is being used. If in relation to IPO shares it could be an acronym for nano technology. Otherwise if you google 'acronym finder' there are another 84 suggestions for NT. regards | peaeff
03/5/2012 09:05 | can anyone tell me what nt stands for.(level 2) thanks in advance. | algomas
03/5/2012 07:42 | Retroscreen Virology floated on AIM today (RVG). IPO a participant stakeholder. New thread for that one at | m.t.glass
02/5/2012 16:18 | I would hope that a after the positive start and with the potential of Oxford nanopore going into production this year as well as big contracts for tracsis and modern water, and some of the drug cos completing positive trials that this should settle around 150p by the end of the week. With a bit of spiking in between. | pleaty1
02/5/2012 16:07 | Pleaty you could be right. A lot of action from 11.30 onwards today. Possibly tomorrow?. | peaeff
01/5/2012 12:53 | ip group AGM tomorow. last year there was an interim statement the same day (not sure it was planneds to be same day), so possibility of it being oneday this week. i would expect the volumes to be alot higher the day before so probably not tomorrow. someone always seems to know before us. | pleaty1
01/5/2012 07:42 | just musing here, but with AZN desparate for new medicines, maybe there is something in IPO's portfolio that might catch its eye on a mouth watering valuation | jpjp100
27/4/2012 12:28 | This has been my share of the year so far in 2012 - it bounced off £1.50, but I can see it having another crack soon. Much more to come I think (hope!). | fargonorthdakota
25/4/2012 12:54 | for anyone who doesnt always check the website, there are another couple of good portfolio statements today. they have many more updates on the portfolio than appear under their own rns's on here. | pleaty1
25/4/2012 09:39 | nice little run upto 160p. (looking at the trades that day it was more like a high of 156 as their was only a single trade higher than that at 160 for 300 odd shareS ). still people are still happy to buy in at these levels and generally this seems to be quite a tightly held stock. wonder if 160p will be easilly broken. 144 looks like its back on the trend line. be nice if it could hold theses levels like it did breaking into the 130's. | pleaty1
23/4/2012 21:35 | smashing, I am pleased | jpjp100
23/4/2012 12:46 | ip paid 33.4mill for their 21% stake. that valeued oxford nanopore at around 167mill. the potential 1 - 2 bill value thats been suggested if the sequencer sells as expected if the final trials are succsessfull, would be a huge increase for ip group. | pleaty1
23/4/2012 12:13 | Pleaty Good hit and probably absolutely right. "The paper said Humer also noted Roche has a good relationship with privately-held Oxford Nanopore, which has similar technology to market leader Illumina." Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd., the U.K. company developing a novel gene-sequencing technology, plans to market DNA strand-sequencing products directly to customers this year. (FEB) IP Group Plc (IPO), owns 21.5 percent of Oxford Nanopore. | peaeff
20/4/2012 13:07 | Bought in this week at 139p. Had obviously, at some time in the past, looked closely at it and then forgotten about it, much to my misfortune. However good start and pleased to be in. regards | peaeff
20/4/2012 12:48 | the amount of movement up verses the volume is similar to IMG they have so many big investors who are happy to hold that there are few shares floating around and more people wanting to buy in thus driving the price up. imo | pleaty1
20/4/2012 11:28 | Plenty of buying today including a nice 250K at 145p. | melf
20/4/2012 09:42 | roche bid for illumina was at a massive premium of their worth but has still been deemed too low for what they believe their potential is. glaxo klein have put a bid for the genome partners at nearly double their current share price what does this then say about the potential value of oxford nanopore.they are considering floating in the next 18 month. ip group has a few companies like oxford nanopore that are just releasing positive trial phases. what is the potential value of all these other to IPO. | pleaty1 |
